The stat perks on weapons,armor are designed in a way that renders most drops and crafting worthless in the game.

-Get rid of stats on weapons, jewelry and armor (cons, focus…)
-Instead, give us 500 usable stat points when we reach level 60. It’s free to reset it.

-Crafting:

I would quit playing if they did this. Making it impossibly hard to get entirely perfect weapons/gear is what makes the challenge/aspiration so rewarding. People want to have things that have value, but this would strip all of that away. I think another 80% would quit the game if the DEVs did this, and I think they know better than to thankfully. I don’t mean to crap on your idea, just saying that it would be an entirely different game if they did that and lots of people would feel that their time investments had been for nothing.
I would however remove the mix stats from random pools. No reason for them. We all end up with songle attribute gear mostly just embrace it. Force weapon perks to the attributes so you cant get int gear with gravity well perks.

People have invested huge amounts of time to get super rare items. If you just changed the game so everyone could have that for free, that time sink would essentially tell those people “you wasted your time.” The direction of an MMO is a payoff on investment, that investment is time. I wonder if they could just make it so all gear gives x stat points. If you made it 500 total then you don’t have room to grow with the current system. Instead of it giving +25 or +26 focus, it’s just +25 or +26 stat points.
It totally destroys timeless shards but those could be repurposed. It’s just feel bad when you get weird stats on an item.
This then makes schematics for weapon skins and those guaranteed 600 GS items finally have some value. That or just let us combine timeless shards with those two things.
It is in cases when you want to use a schematic like the ice ones from the winter event or the ultra rare guaranteed 600 GS ones. If they could rework timeless shards to work with them, then that would essentially fix that issue at least.
They shouldn’t remove the “useless” attribute combinations in weapons. But i would say they should remove it in the named weapons, what is the use of named weapon with str/focus either it be lifestaff/axe/rapier.
Named items at least should have the attributes relevant to that weapon or its primary attribute.
I think this goes too far… but it would be nice if the pool could be narrowed down a bit. if you roll str you get perks that have something to do with the str stat. if you roll int you get perks that have something to do with the int stat, in example.
but really everything that isn’t legendary or named is pretty much toss worthy at this point anyway. an alternate that would also work is if you could just guarantee a legendary roll somehow. maybe take three times the resources but be guaranteed legendary. I am also not sure why we can’t craft higher than 600 now.
