Its dumb RNG crap like this that makes you alt-tab to another game

I mean, you reach a certain point in this game where you just know the RNG is encoded to be constantly focused more on bogus prizes then it is on actual useful content.

This sword was opened up from a weapon case via gpys orbs.

The fact the sword is Intel/Con I’ll put aside, but it manages to roll a 600 and doesn’t pop legendary? not that the perks were much to get excited about either.

Point is, you play this game over and over and just get more shit loot then value loot - not advocating for BiS here either, just reasonable "oh yeah we got close to the mark " rolls.

Its just a waste of time tbh to play outside major pvp pushes. Anywho, the games now become more of a “i’ll play once a week or so” maybe game for me.

bro, i know some rpg that drop easily the best loot possible. then soon after they die and never came back

At least you have a smart sword?!

I have so many Legendary items that have stats that make zero sense

Yeah its probably the more it doesn’t make sense part then the rest. I think i got a Great Sword just then as well with Focus as the only attribute.

its comical

Like i said, I’m not really too concerned with BiS drops or loot thats always good, it just needs to at least make sense. Like example attributes that actually align to the sword to begin with and if perk rolls are crap meh so be it… makes sense. Yet I seem to get way more focus/intel gear for loot drops then any other stat. Focus seems to be the majority if i look over a weeks junk pile atm.

yeah i get it, but if every weapon only have its own attribute that would increase the chance much higher to get bis

Agreed.

Luck and loot drops can be important factors that contribute to the overall enjoyment and engagement of a game. When players feel that they have a chance to get lucky and obtain valuable or rare items through loot drops, it can create a sense of excitement and anticipation.

That’s the initial first opening “hook” you get New World is trying to land.

However, the game does not provide adequate feedback loops or rewards to players when we do succeed in obtaining valuable items or making progress. It always ends up being this confusing jarring “you won the RNG roll dice” moment when things do align. By in large however its the opposite.

All of these factors contribute to a sense of frustration and discouragement, which can ultimately reduce player engagement and motivation.

Lol I got a 600GS heavy chestpiece that was Shirk Fort, Resil, Refreshing ward from a gypsum cache…

With no gem slot -_-

Devs get to be lazy like this IF you don’t need good traits / attribute to win. So if you can survive a 600-GS zone with the random crap you get from gypsum crates… that’s good enough for them probably.
And they can’t really expect you to optimize for most content because crafting is so RNG. You can’t control anything really.
Of course there’s mutations… but there you go: end game repetitive (crafting) content, right?
And AGS is completely vindicated since so many people still insist on crafting-gambling despite the mats and odds and overall system. People are doing it, so they must love it!
