They should implement one PvP server, and all those who favor that should go on there, and that will be a great test playground. That way, the Devs can analyze data and make changes as they see fit. But like with everything else, everyone is trying to cope COVID and the lack of workers in real life. I think Amazon needs to starting hiring more people to make this game better.

Not moving the goalpost, just correcting a confusion on how I worded my original post.
People don’t flag because of an issue that have plagued wPvP in loads of MMOs over the time; gankers. It’s no fun playing wPvP when you’re getting stomped by players WAY higher than you. And we saw that trend already in Alpha, where people set up camp and killed people that had just created their character. People could literally not play the game at all because they were too late to create characters. Which is why they changed it in later versions of the game to what we have today.
MMOs in general is a niche market, MMO with full on PvP is even lower than that. WoW changed their PvP servers because it didn’t work out on wPvP, they never managed to balance it and they had a very limited wPvP setup. How do you think AGS should solve faction imbalance with a game that’s much more complex on wPvP than WoW is?
There were 2 or so servers that were “dominated” by one faction, so roughly 4 or so servers here in Europe were “full”, the rest was medium or low. And they tried for years to work out faction imbalane and get wPvP working, and never managed. The major issue that they ended up with, was that people looked up which faction dominated on that server and rolled with it. A major complaint from PvP servers were lack of wPvP. Alliance went to server X and Horde to server Y. They were never balanced 50/50 on the servers. This is why Blizzard decided to opt out of PvP servers, they didn’t work to the intention of instigating wPvP.
There is a reason most MMOs don’t bother with PvP only servers any more. It’s just not enough players to defend the investment.

Yes and there is a reason full on PvP MMOs don’t catch on in popularity and remain a niche with a low - yet dedicated - playerbase. And why new MMOs don’t opt in on that model. It’s very expensive to develop and run an MMO these days, and full on PvP MMOs simply don’t pay the bills.

And what is it with so many of you not wanting this to happen for the PvP crowd and feel the need to rub a quote like this from a CM in their faces? You remind me of school yard bullies telling the kids that you’re gonna steal their pocket money.
Whether they get the servers or not in the future doesn’t affect your gameplay. So why are you so bothered? Why not just stay out of it and quit your interfering and starting arguments for the sake of arguing. Quit being the immature bullies like you’re making yourselves out to be and just play the damn game. Geez.

Not in the MMo Genre, in this genre what drives games is PVE players and PVP is an addon. Well maybe not how this game started it’s journey but if it has any chance of being mediocre in popularity in the future this game needs good PVE content too. PVP Servers i do agree though should exist, anyway they exist in many other games. I will just stay away from them as a non PVP player simple as that.
At least he will still be able to talk on forums and be part of the discussion in a couple of days

This is PR doublespeak written by a PR Specialist. It’s purposefully made to be vague and non-committal in order to appeal to widest audience possible while not technically being a lie.
Even if they had a plan for NEVER releasing a PvP server they’re not going to say that to the public, it might reduce sales lol. Even in that case the statement they made is still not a lie. See how the words are literally empty of all meaning?

You’re speculating and not in a position to speak for the CMs or developers and what they are or are not doing, thinking or what they may or may not be open to in the future. No more than I am or anyone else here.
Public Relations as a profession has standard practices. Explaining what those are is not Speculation, it’s stating what they are hired to do LMAO.

Nah that’s false. There are currently 2 versions of the game, Classic and Retail. Classic is one of the best games every created where pvp servers are by far the most popular. Retail is some sort of eSport and I don’t enjoy that and they have removed the option to play on pvp servers.
