  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: I have no idea how to reproduce it, I have tried respecing, logging out, restarting the game, verifying game files, all did nothing to fix it

I logged in this morning to this same bug. tried everything I could to fix other than respec.

I’m experiencing the same issue, it seems to be related to a specific spear. I tried all of the above and nothing worked, equipped another spear and Javelin worked fine. Switched back to the initial spear that had an issue and it still wasn’t working. It’s an uncommon Defiled Spear. I tried to put a skin on the spear to see if that affected anything but it still didn’t work with another skin.

Same bug started when switched spear to Desecrated Spear Tier 5 has worked fine with all spears before this one.

Same bug can`t fix try respect, restart game, swap weapons.

I’m having the same issue with the ‘Rallying Defiled Spear of the Ranger’

Same issue here. Nothing seems to get it to work.

Noticed this problem for the first time yesterday. Didn’t modify my skills or gear prior. Tried swapping out the spear for a different weapon temporarily and tried restarting the game. Logged back in today and the problem is still persisting.

  • What is your character name in New World: vybe
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Camelot
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: Spear is not being thrown when Javelin ability is used. The throwing animation works, but the spear immediately disappears into thin air and no contact/damage is made with the mob I’m targeting.
  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Cant use 1 of my 3 abilities
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No
  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Just use the Javelin skill. Problem happens 100% of the time, don’t know how to fix it.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue you experienced: Just use the Javelin skill. The problem happens 100% of the time. Using Arboreal Defiled Spear of the Fighter, I’ve tried changing every perk I can in the Spear Mastery to see if it’s related to any perks but nothing changed

The problem went away for me after I bought a new spear at the trading post and used that one moving forward.
