We would appreciate open communication with us, instead of announcing 24h before implementing patches, merges and any other changes - let us know in advance.
Also it seems like there is no point calling something “July/August/Whatever patch” if either you cannot commit to the deadline or it comes out the last day of the month.
Since the PTR patch just dropped, we’re getting July patch in August by the looks of it.
You got Twitter and forum for a reason, why not using it?
Edit: AGS calls it Summer Event though I thought it would be ironic if the “name” didn’t change this time around - until now big updates were called after the month these were coming out in.
Don’t mind waiting for it to come, but the fact there is literally no communication is annoying.
if they dont release patch on thursday you can count on a large % of players taking a break. AGS cant afford to delay any longer. Weve had a content drought for 2 months. If they have to hold off on dungeon finder nonsense to work out kinks to release the rest of PTR so be it but no patch this week is the end of the game. Its not something they can recover from at this point with so few players. If the devs and team care about the game they need to do something. Even if its just a announcement. People generally dont like sitting in the dark for long periods of time.
Its not called the July/august patch. Its called the summer update. So long as it is summer they can release it whenever. Imo i think its gonna be a late summer release that way there is a shorter time to the autumn update.
I’m guessing it depends if the current bugs are fixed in this ptr update and if any new bugs showed up. We could be waiting a while if they’re trying to have their first ever bug free update.
If you are talking about the showcase of the music aspect I wouldn’t call that an announcement. Usually announcements have some sort of useful information.
I know a handful of people sidelined right now who would log on to try this patch. I was expecting July and would be disappointed if this went into August.
In May they said they would skip June as the first month that they didn’t have a monthly update but they would have a larger update in July. This is where that came from.
I’m not saying that the content releasing this update is not important or bad, but spending the entire summer while the game is dying to come out with 1 patch that contains a copy and paste dungeon, a broken group finder that will be irrelevant for 90% of the players, an event that is a minor gimmick to hold players attention for a couple weeks, and musical instruments… that was a major oversight by the dev team. This game needs a lot, not a couple new features that most players will use for a week or two.
Another user suggested that we look at the twitch drop for the medley faire since it’s been a constant Pattern where you have a chance to claim it before and after the updates!
