All enemies now have a chance to drop items at +100 Gear Score higher then normal. Levels 59 to 63 have an increased chance. (The 600 max and expertise still apply to these rolls.)
Does this truly apply to all mobs? I have been testing it myself killing level 54-55 mobs in bulk to see if I can ever proc a “super” roll. If this were true a level 54-55 mob should also be able to drop something in the 590 gear score range every once in a while. I am over 100 random gear drops in an have not seen a single drop over 499 so I am wondering if the chance for this to happen is just abysmal or if it is a typo and it is just not possible.
Chance is abysmal low as you already figured out. The 3 named mobs in the crypt in ebonscale raised to lvl 63 but they are still dropping crap ranged from 505 - 550 XD
I am starting to think abysmal low mise well mean not possible. I am going to stop at 1000 drops as I think that will be large enough sample size. If it doesn’t happen 1/1000 it mise well just not happen…
Keep in mind that your expertise plays a roll on GS of mob drops. Not knowing where your expertise for the various items that are dropping I can only hazard a guess.
interesting. I feel like 475 is the minimum gearscore that the loot will drop from that level mob though. While killing stuff I have yet to get one drop that is 475 but I have gotten stuff all the way up to 499. Maybe the “super procs” only happen if you rolled a minimum roll for that bracket first?
