got a helmet with Keen Vault Kick as Perk and when i successfully hit an enemy with vault kick it doesn’t increase my crit chance. could also be just a tool tip error

I’m not sure how/if it works or if it stacks.
I had multiple pieces of gear and tested it for a few hits and never crit.
I assume it’s a modifier to the crit chance and not a flat increase.
So instead of 35% it’s likely 6.5% or something like that.
Honestly such a small increase on such a long CD ability is a garbage perk.
So I hope it’s a flat percentage and just broken.

Can anyone at AGS confirm if the skill perk does indeed increase crit chance? Given the nature of crit chance in general (it’s random and you can’t exactly test if your crit chance went up, we don’t have a stat sheet to confirm and whether you crit or not is purely based on luck/rng).
There’s no buff indicator when you use vault kick with the gear perk slotted so it’s really impossible right now to tell if it works or not.
I main spear with crit build. I would love to hear more about how you came to the determination that this perk isn’t working (it felt very impactful to me, but I’m open to that potentially being some form of bias).
i think just the fact that it doesn’t show an active buff when you use the ability.

I think the OP THINKS it isn’t working because there’s no buff indicator to show that, after landing a vault kick with the perk equipped, that your crit chance did indeed go up. They might be right, they might be wrong.
Crit chance is random so unless you have 100% crit chance it’s impossible to tell in the current state if it is working or not.
If you could achieve 100% crit chance in the game once you slot an item with Keen vault kick you could test it - just vault kick an enemy and see if you never fail to crit for the next 5 seconds, do this repeatedly with like 50 or so enemies and at that point yes you can draw the conclusion that indeed, it is working as intended. Anything short of that and we can’t know for sure that it’s working.
Someone at AGS needs to let us know that they indeed tested and tell us if it works.
Just letting anyone know if you’re still following up on this, I tested this in the December PTR and they now have a buff cooldown indicator of 5 seconds once you vault kick with Keen Vault Kick gear slotted, showing that the gear perk does indeed trigger something or that it seemingly works.

Update: after today’s patch the 5 second cooldown timer that was present in the December PTR doesn’t appear to have made it into the live version. In other words, we still don’t know if this perk is bugged or working as intended

thanks for the heads up…yeah i haven’t been using this perk because i still haven’t seen it “work properly” you should get some kind of buff i would think…strange that it was on the PTR and not on the dec update
How did you test it? That’s like saying that Keen or Keen Awareness perks don’t increase the crit chance.
I wonder if there is a stealth crit chance increase …but hopefully we will hear about this in a future patch
