Keep a limit on mutated, but make it better!

Love the orb removal, hate the mutation cap. So lets make it better:

Make it so the limit is on the amount of shards you can get per week instead of the number of mutated dungeon you can run. If needed, give reduced loot as well after 25 runs.

Right now, if you gold M10’s for your 25 entries, it’s 150k shards. Make it the limit per week (or less, I would agree with enough shards to build 1 set which is 91 710 shards).

This way:

  • We can run unlimited amount of mutated while being limited in shards accumulation
  • We can help lower gs players with their progression without being punished by the game
  • We can still create content for ourselves until the game offer more by trying different builds, different team comps, silly team comps, trying to establish personnal records and more

This way does not block shard selling, since the limitation would be linked to the players. You would still need to implement a way to stop it if you want to do so. There is many suggestion about how to stop shard seller in other posts (disabling vote-kick, amount of time spent in the dungeon, must fight in the last encounter, etc).

Please, give us a sign that you are reading us! There is a lot of people thinking that the limitation is killing PVE. We don’t want more shards, we want to play your amazing game! Seriously, I love mutated dungeons, they are much more fun than regulars, the new variations of mutation are awsome!

Shards aren’t the issue its the loot that comes from m10s

As mentionned, they can also lower the drops passed the 25 run if they feel like the loots are a problem.

I don’t think it is one to be honest. If you run normal dungeons with full luck on, you can get similar results in term of legendaries. The epics pieces are the same. Some players also have enough money (cough couch, town owners) to craft more good gear than I can loot in a week.

Anything but keep us from playing, punishing us/making us feel bad when we help friends/randoms in lower mutation and loose an attempt when people get disconnected/have to leave/get a bad group. Even if we get 95% less drops and money out of mutations after 25, just let us run anyways.

No, you don’t care about shards in the first place and the only intention is to sell slots indefinitely for a free dungeon run for rmt.

And what does it matter if someone sells shards? I still dont understand peoples issue with this, its like buying a piece of gear you didnt find yourself or mats you didnt farm yourself.

As for Muts the limit cap is just dumb, even if it is a problem with shard sellers you’re punishing the player base because of a small group of people. Who by the way just make new characters level them up and gear them up and have just kept running. If you dont think they were prepared to get around this I dont know what to tell you.

It should be diminishing returns on gear after 25 muts drop loot tables back to pre patch levels. But this limit has created another issue with the game no one who can run m10s will run anything lower. So now you have people who are in need of people to help them clear lower level mutations but no one to do it because why waste a run on a low level mut?

I finished nearly 20 runs in 4 days. I have 5 runs left for the remaining 3 days lol, am I part of a minority of players? Sure but that was never surprising. Another issue? the players who play tanks/healers now running out of runs causing an even bigger issue lol.

You dont like shard sellers great, punishing other players for shard sellers is terrible balancing. I for one have zero issues with shard sellers (no I do not sell shards I do give shards away to my company), if you have a problem with shard sellers selling gold for real money then we can talk. Ban them all who cares I dont. But gating players in your game from playing the game is just bad design.

You feel how you want, doesnt mean you are correct lol.

Please refrain from repeating that the only thing we want is sell shards when we are stating multiple time that they can cap shards + remove the abilitie to sell them, we do not care we just want to play and have fun.

If your only comment is ‘‘bleh, you must do this to sells shards, bleh.’’ Then don’t comment. You are wrong.

Literally should remove the dungeon limit per week. At this point it’s just frustrating for players who want to play the content to be told no. In other MMOs like WoW you could run mythic dungeons all day if you wanted to without a problem. Only raids which give you much better loot are locked once / week but NW doesn’t have any to begin with.

A limit would be necessary if we had raids or like worldbosses events etc. that guaranteed good items for your class. Not for mutations where you’re just rolling the dice for items. Also, people just don’t do mutations with randoms anymore. I know I don’t and neither do my guildmates. Why would you, because you can risk ruining 1 dungeon off your limit with the way it’s working, because the dungeon is counted when people enter it, not on completion. So this system splits the community even further than before.

Shard sellers increased their prices now and make even more profit after that cap was introduced. They can’t beat town owners so restricting the big guys should be more of your concern that’s players who enjoy the limited content in the game
