Keep seeing the same thing from people against forced pvp

I keep seeing people saying they would only be ok with pvp zones if it didn’t have resources in it that they needed to do pve with. If that’s the case then there needs to be a way to earn 600gs gear from pvping. Why is it ok for us to have to pve to finish our gear grind for pvp but god forbid you have to participate in pvp for any advantage in pve.

Let’s face it, Top tier pvp armor is just beginner gear as a fresh 60. In order to be rest assured that your defeat when you encounter someone 1v1 in open world pvp, you have to pve for better gear, or you’re left thinking, “did I lose cause they outplayed me, or is it cause they have better gear” and that sucks. I don’t want to be forced into a pve grind but that’s how 99% of most entertaining mmo’s go. And we are not a minority. There just hasn’t been an mmo that did pvp progression correctly since dark age of Camelot.

So my argument is, if they don’t add pvp zones that force pve players to pvp, then they need to create a set of gear with 600 gs that can only be obtained from pvp, and not pvp quests. But a whole new currency that only drops from killing players who you haven’t killed within a set time limit to prevent farming

And that is one of several things that needs to change. Full disclosure I do not think that PvE should be tied to PvP in any necessary fashion.

PvP gear should be unique, be attainable only via PvP, and should provide stats and enchantments that enhance the PvP experience.

In other games one might ask if that gear should be the equivalent of top tier raid gear. We might agree that this should not be the case. We might also agree that we can see there are differences between the two experiences.

I think that there should be more than just PvP armor, obviously there should be weapons. Also, there should be potions, titles, achievements, etc., to offer those who participate in PvP. These things should all be uniquely PvP. When someone sees the gear or the titles or whatever they should know: this person PvPs.

Yes! I completely agree with all that. The only thing I would do specifically is make a special currency or point system that is earned from killing players and nothing else. More pts for 1v1 then Xv1 obviously and cd’s on when players are worth pts to the same people who already killed them.

Then use those pts for legendary gear
