There is another post about this error and the freezes that has more AGS attention. If you guys are getting the issue I’d recommend posting in there as well so it gets bumped to the top.
Hey, I was wondering if you have been upgrading your PC the past couple of years?
I’m suspecting my PC is having other issues + this one because I upgraded individual parts here and there.
With my latest install of windows 10 I had a new SSD to install it into, and I left data + windows on the older ones. After installing the fresh windows 10 I had no ethernet drivers so I booted my other SSD and downloaded the drivers, and put them on my USB.
I suspect my new windows went on an expedition and installed some incompatible drivers and what not. Plus, I started using my old steam/origin/epicgames folders as extra download folders so I didn’t have to re-download any games. Searching this error on google comes up with another website where people discuss a solution to “Uninstall steam/origin/apex/easyanticheat” to then use ccleaner to remove registery entries and then re-install these, which gave me the idea that others with this problem might have been upgrading their pc and re-installing windows on a new drive.
Is this the case for you?
Nope, not at all.
This computer has never seen easy anti cheat ever. Its only a 1.5 years old with little to no gaming done on it. I’ve been waiting for NW so I haven’t really been playing any games on it. No old drives, all hardware is new.
If you could read the conversations above you’ll see that I’ve already done all the troubleshooting and all that is left is for New World or Easy Anti cheat to come out with an update for this error. If you look at the link I provided on post #16 you’ll see that its many people with newer spec’d computers that are having the issue mostly.
It’s always a very bad idea to use old files from an old drive or previous install as it can give you ghost drivers, odd bsod and hard to trace issues. Takes longer to do fresh installs but that way you can make sure that its done properly the first time.
This might be far cry, but have you tested turning off your antivirus and firewall ? since kaspersky will block EAC… atlest I think it does
I didn’t install my old drivers, but I’m suspecting my new windows 10 salvaged old drivers from my older ssd because it explored the drives and searched for use-able drivers.
I am having the same issues. Happened overnight around 3:00AM to 1:00 PM 11/10/21 EEST.
Getting an event logged every 5 or 10 mins and FPS drops to 20 paired with constant sound stuttering. Was there any update today?
Not what I meant, I was referring to if you have old windows files sitting on a drive from a previous OS install or computer setup, your system can see these as phantom or ghost drivers. it will try to use those drivers if the names are the same.
Anyways, this isn’t the case for me and many others like the other link on #16 says. Its just something AGS needs to adjust. I never had this issue with Preview, Close beta or open beta. Something they changed which I’m assuming the implementation of EAC has caused these errors and FPS drops.
@Koudirito No, no update today. On the other post the AGS employee mentioned they are investigating the issue. So I will assume there will be a fix on their first or second performance update.
I managed to stop having these kernel errors and reduced fps drops and audio stuttering from occurring.
To solve kernel errors try this solution, A lot of errors on Event viewer windows 10 - #2 by aL1ve.
For Fps drops a solution should be capping max fps to 30. It worked for me but still I would love to see an official response.
@eevetvtwitch
@Koudirito Interesting; I’ll try the run as admin but I’m not dropping FPS to 30 lol. Might as well make a budget system.
Try setting a comfortable cap for you. Oh and disable voice chat too.
@Koudirito I’ve got it capped at 60 which is extremely modest. Uncapped and with 100% power to the gpu I’m sitting around 100-120 fps. Voice chat is always disabled, not a fan of kids yelling in my ears lol.
I just checked my event viewer log, and it’s full of these errors every 5 minutes.
Confirmed, If you run Steam and New world as administrator the errors go away. HOWEVER! the FPS spikes still occur. The error is not what’s causing the FPS as suspected. Further investigation is required by AGS please
My damn system is full of these errors –
Session “dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022
and it lag spikes every 5-10 minutes. This is still an issue and all the normal troubleshooting, reinstall and such has not stopped it. Making the game unplayable when there is high traffic which leads me to believe the issue is on the Anti-Cheat service side. Next to no issues on off peak times.
I’ve got this exactly same error and message yesterday for the first time, but in my case my entire pc freezes, I got BSOD and restart.
Still getting this issue myself
I confirmed I am still getting this error after last patch.
