This might be far cry, but have you tested turning off your antivirus and firewall ? since kaspersky will block EAC… atlest I think it does
I didn’t install my old drivers, but I’m suspecting my new windows 10 salvaged old drivers from my older ssd because it explored the drives and searched for use-able drivers.
I am having the same issues. Happened overnight around 3:00AM to 1:00 PM 11/10/21 EEST.
Getting an event logged every 5 or 10 mins and FPS drops to 20 paired with constant sound stuttering. Was there any update today?
Not what I meant, I was referring to if you have old windows files sitting on a drive from a previous OS install or computer setup, your system can see these as phantom or ghost drivers. it will try to use those drivers if the names are the same.
Anyways, this isn’t the case for me and many others like the other link on #16 says. Its just something AGS needs to adjust. I never had this issue with Preview, Close beta or open beta. Something they changed which I’m assuming the implementation of EAC has caused these errors and FPS drops.
@Koudirito No, no update today. On the other post the AGS employee mentioned they are investigating the issue. So I will assume there will be a fix on their first or second performance update.
I managed to stop having these kernel errors and reduced fps drops and audio stuttering from occurring.
To solve kernel errors try this solution, A lot of errors on Event viewer windows 10 - #2 by aL1ve.
For Fps drops a solution should be capping max fps to 30. It worked for me but still I would love to see an official response.
@eevetvtwitch
@Koudirito Interesting; I’ll try the run as admin but I’m not dropping FPS to 30 lol. Might as well make a budget system.
Try setting a comfortable cap for you. Oh and disable voice chat too.
@Koudirito I’ve got it capped at 60 which is extremely modest. Uncapped and with 100% power to the gpu I’m sitting around 100-120 fps. Voice chat is always disabled, not a fan of kids yelling in my ears lol.
I just checked my event viewer log, and it’s full of these errors every 5 minutes.
Confirmed, If you run Steam and New world as administrator the errors go away. HOWEVER! the FPS spikes still occur. The error is not what’s causing the FPS as suspected. Further investigation is required by AGS please
My damn system is full of these errors –
Session “dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022
and it lag spikes every 5-10 minutes. This is still an issue and all the normal troubleshooting, reinstall and such has not stopped it. Making the game unplayable when there is high traffic which leads me to believe the issue is on the Anti-Cheat service side. Next to no issues on off peak times.
I’ve got this exactly same error and message yesterday for the first time, but in my case my entire pc freezes, I got BSOD and restart.
Still getting this issue myself
I confirmed I am still getting this error after last patch.
I regularly get kernel errors like this that lock up my USB devices when playing New World. I’ve tried everything. Updated drivers, reinstalled the game multiple times, formatted my machine. It only happens when playing New World.
Edit: Tied the anti-cheat repair again and it does nothing.
Not entirely sure about the stuttering but for those that have freezes associated with this, you can try turning down your gpu clock by -50. Pretty much got rid of all my freezes.
Same exact error here, tried all of the suggested fixes above.
Same issue here. None of the above “fixes” resolved the issue.
Please advise as to status of a fix.
