LAG DETECTED problem has been happening since launch. Patch 1.04 it all but disappeared but since 1.05 I have been experiencing it again.
Every so often, at completely random times, the game will freeze and LAG DETECTED in red letters will appear at the top center of my screen. The lag lasts for 10+ seconds. I cannot move, I cannot move my camera, I cannot open my inventory, but I can open my map and the mouse cursor is able to move around the screen with the map open.
This happens in all scenarios - open world running around, in town, PvPing, Outpost Rush, Expeditions, in group, solo. I have turned graphics settings down to minimum, same problem. I have not tried reducing my bandwidth settings from high yet. Dont see how that would help but who knows?
I have bandwidth set to high. I have high-speed internet (just tested 702 dl and 17.7 ul). Ping to server is < 50 ms.
This has caused countless deaths. I typically run solo chests and as you can imagine standing still for 10 seconds with a large group of mobs chasing is not good for my health, or gold
I can try port forwarding if I knew what ports to forward. Going to try google searching that up in the meantime while I wait for a response here. Thanks!
Thank you for the response. I added my issue to that thread. Unfortunately theres no troubleshooting advice in there. Also, my dpecific issue doesnt seem to be similar to anyone elses (red LAG DETETECED for 10+ seconds at random periods of time)
I’m sorry for the misunderstanding and yes the thread I share with you is just to gathering information of the player that are experimenting issue with high latency (Lag) and stuttering issues so the team can still investigate the root cause of the issue and try to fix it.
However you can try these steps in order to see if they work for you.
Please try this trouble shooting for this error
1-From the Start/Windows Menu, select Settings.
2-Select Network and Internet.
3-In the Status section, under Change your network settings, select Change adapter options.
4-When the Network Connections window opens, right-click your network connection.
5-Select Properties.
6. Scroll to Internet Protocol version 6. 6-Uncheck the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) box.
7-Select OK to save your changes for the selected network adapter.
8-Try launching the game again. A PC restart may be necessary.

Thank you for the response! I was playing earlier today and experienced 2 lag detected interupptions within 10 minutes of each other before trying this fix. I exited the game, made the changes suggested here, and restarted my PC. I will start playing and see if the problem persists.
UPDATE 20 minutes into playing the LAG DETECTED problem happened, 10 seconds again as usual. Has happened multiple times since then as well.
This has gotten MUCH worse since 1.1. Same problem, red LAG DETECTED on the top of my screen. Looking for some kind of help or input. I am dying several times a play session and its getting to the point of being unplayabel
I’m so sorry the troubleshooting steps didn’t work to solve the issue.
We still looking to solve the issue with the team that’s is the reason of the post I share with you above so the more information we can gathered is so much helpful for the team to be able to fix the issue with the LAG and Stuttering you guys are having.
At the moment we have to wait until they fix it and update the game with the fix. I can tell you a ETA at the moment cause there isn’t one but when we have the fix confirmation for the issue we definitely gonna share it with you.
