@Lane Announcement

Id like to share my opinion on the recent problems new world have been facing.

First of all, yeah all this down time was bad everyone agrees on that one, but i hope the Team behind new world learn from their mistakes and start building trust with their player base doing the right things on the right moment.

We all feel that theres alot of miss comunication going on so far, not only between the players and the devs, but also from the devs and the comunity managers.
If we look at the announcements from the start until now it took 10h for some one with knowledge of the situation to step forward and explain to us WHAT HOW and WHEN happened.

Its this kind of comunications that we need, not another “we dont have any more info atm.” nothing personal CM’S but this little change can make a huge diference on the future.

If when something goes wrong a DEV or a CM with full knowledge of the situation to explain to us what is happening and what its being worked on, people will understand and will try to be patient about it.

Regarding the future patches and changes, i believe the game still has a long way to go and people have interest in play it, but you need to be transparent with us players of what you are working on and what is your insight on some changes.

We are human beings aswell from this side share compassion with us we will be more receptive to any bad situation incoming.

I highly suggest once things get stable to do a list of what to possibly expect on the next patch, not necessarely nerfs/buffs but changes or new features, bugs that are being worked on and so on.

I know these forums have been rough recently, but people is just frustrated cause we feel the silence and thats not good.

Thank you @Lane for steping up!
Happy thanks giving everyone, stay safe!

we should support them

For what? Constant failure?

I am all for support one time slip-ups, happens to the best and someone with a good track-record is easily forgiven for a bad patch, bug introduced or exploit they created. However AGS has not a single patch, not even one, that did not introduce a major bug breaking the game to a certain degree if not shutting it down completely.

They had almost two months now to get their work-flow properly organized, their Q&A team situated and get a routine. However none of that happen, at which point in a string of failures do you finally accept “Alright, that’s not going to get better”?

Yeah, each time a patch/maintenance is announced the first thought that comes to mind is “What will they break this time?”

I agree; the communication was excellent and thorough.

I think Scott @Lane joins the players in wishing such statements didn’t need to be drafted, but getting a solid explanation is the next best thing.
