I encountered this error code with the launch of 1.1.1. After digging for a week and doing everything under the sun I started really looking in to some of the background processes and I noticed one service that may be causing the issue, the name of that is “Nahimic Service” [Queue Scare Music]. All jokes aside this is a windows audio service that is built in. I encourage you to do you’re own research on it, there isn’t much you can do to hurt your computer with this specific service but you should always take precautions with messing with the built in files and programs of Windows. So, the short reason that this service is causing issues is it conflicts with the graphics card drivers, mainly Nvidia. So something with this program interferes with the driver when this game launches and causes it to crash, atleast in my case.
FIX:
So I think I found a temporary solution.
- First things first disable windows antivirus and any antivirus completely. (I found Windows Antivirus likes to turn itself on when you turn off your 3rd party anti virus)
- Go to your windows services and search for Nahimic Service. Once you find this service, right click it and go to properties. Then find the drop down menu labeled “Start up type” and select Disable.
- Once you’ve done this restart your pc, once rebooted recheck the last steps to establish nothing has started again.
- Try loading the game, if it works congratulations and continue down the line, if not try to and this line to the launch options of the game: -resolution 1280x720 -windowed
- Once again restart and verify game and that everything is still disabled, check the game one last time. As long as it launches turn on your third party antivirus and find the game New World along with both Steam and Easy Anti-Cheat. Allow them full access and prioritize all.

DO NOT RUN NEW WORLD AS ADMIN IT WILL CREATE AN EXTRA FILE THAT WILL BREAK THE GAME. THE GAME CAN NOT BE RUN AS ADMIN
