OP knows about HWM and his at 570.
Mine is at 560 and i also got 500 from chest loot in genesis and lazarus however i got around 560 on both trashs and bosses.
Yup the chests are bugged, no reply yet from devs.

HWM is per slot. I wonder if those particular POIs are bugged? Regardless, nobody knows what their actual HWM is because it isn’t accessible.

Seems to me the problem then is the floor for chests isn’t working properly.

We encountered the same issue, however after 5 runs we discovered that the chest got higher as well. So it seems like they have an own HWM system which you have to bump up.
I can’t say if that is per dungeon or not. Also, unknown if that’s intended. Our Watermarks were around 580 so the bosses and mobs dropped around that are just the chest started at 500 and after a few runs it got upped to around 510.
My GS for all pieces including weapons excluding jewelry are 90+ jewelry all 550+ my chest still give 500–515 never go up over 10+ runs from chest

My company is experiencing this as well. All ~GS 500 drops from chests in genesis, despite way higher watermarks.
I was in dungeons more than 30 times. I do elite runs daily.
My watermark for several items is 600. Not for all, of course. Spears are about 570, bows 560, life staff 585, rings / earrings / amulets close to 515-520…
Anyway, even by now, I have never received an item from Lazarus and Genesis chests higher than 510 gear score. I would say the gearscore of Expedition Chests is 500-510. And it is definitely a bug.
Please fix it.
I will bump this thread as long as I play the game until it is fixed.
The problem is individual resources are copy pasted. When copy/pasted they need to be individually edited with the correct values. This is time consuming and a pain to fix but was probably faster to release.
For example you’ll run across high level names mobs with the same loot table as their lower level copy pasted original (for example level 60 Adjorjan
drops the level 30 Balanos loot).
In any sort of development I advocate having a strong framework because you know change is inevitable so you want a system that allows you to make fast updates.
From what it sounds like on the slowness of the devs being able to fix things, the copy paste makes it so every single thing has to be painstakingly fixed individually.

If your watermark is 600 it means you cant drop 500 gs items? It is not pure RNG ? Ofc if higher WM you have that means you have a chance for better loot but it doesnt mean you will always have 600 score items. I thought it works this way.

Yes, but if you do 30 runs and expedition chests drops are always in 500-510 range, means it’s not random at all. Not a single person among my 15 friends playing this game got anything higher than around 510 from those expedition chests.

Yup, seems to ignore watermark.
I have max watermark and I never get anything below 570-580, like a full mines and myrk run with 30+ items, not once have I gotten anything below 570-580.
So go to expedition and post a screenshot of loot you got from any expedition chest.
