I’m not looking to get banned from the Forums BUT! Yes, there always has to be a but… You need to fix the issues Amazon, instead of just being lazy and throwing it to the side. People need gold in order to keep the economy alive. Talking about, “That’s why we allow people to destroy their items to gain gold,” is an excuse for not fixing the true issue at hand.
Go into the system, change everything to +number gold. For each 5 level mobs, add another 2+ gold. Use some common sense and help your game survive, instead of making a quick buck and closing the game down.
It’s a player driven economy, thus you have to put in the effort to make gold.
Go ahead and farm resources and sell those, based upon which town is more in need of x resource. Level up a profession, which is heavily needed, and sell those products.
You shouldn’t be looking at only obtaining gold from killing x number of mobs in multiple times.
Outpost Rush will give you some gold, you also have wars, invasions and portals.
There are multiple ways, so it’s not the developers who are lazy, but it’s you who are the lazy one for wanting things to do for you, rather than you going out and doing it for yourself.
Do you assume I don’t have gold? I have 2k+. Haven’t dropped from it yet. Looking at the AH and seeing the consistent issues, you can’t try to protect the game. I like the game but I’m not going to turn a blind eye to the issues at hand.
Some people get so tangled up in games that they don’t care to see the issues. They’ll protect a game because they feel it’s perfect. They’ll see the obvious but they’re blind to it because they choose to.
You can’t keep doing it when fewer of your friends play. Eventually, you’ll complain, “I don’t have anyone to run with!” Then you’ll say something and it’s already too late.
I’m sitting on 25k gold and I’ve only done quests at this moment in time and used gold from those quests to also level up my professions and purchase things from the trading post.
There’s currently a deflation on the prices at the AH because of the lack of currency in the game, ie. gold is too hard to produce. They are aware of that and I hope it will be fixed soon.
Situations like that happened in Japan in the 90’s and the prices stayed low for a very long time afterwards. But as the game is relatively new there’s a good chance a fix will solve the issue.
