How come you guys seems to not be listening to your players at any points???
We all would love some sort of system like this, and rewards to grind for, but instead of pushing this to the live in a BAD state, with bad calculations, why dont you just leave it on PTR for now think it more through, fix calculations, maby make a leaderboard depended on weapons / specs / stats etc. (on longer term), and release them when they are actual ready for release and start working on other fixes while you are figuring better calculations or proper calculations??
Why rush the leaderboards into live when its basicly gonna make the game more bad than ever??
Its the same old story, you rush stuff 2 much and putting half done work live for no reason. Would be giving both you and the players so much more to leave changes that aint ready on the PTR until they are in a such state that they are actual ready for release.
Ye i just dont get it, also leaving some “unfinished” work on PTR would make them capable of pushing bigger changes through at one go, that would make more players come back to check the “biiig” patch notes changes instead of 2 fixes pr. patch note along with half done work and maby if people saw they where aactually changing behavior some would stick arround for abit longer (players will always be players and leave / come back, but some tend to stick with games they like even in down periods). And atm. they are even bleeding thoose players
Tempest Heart | 2 unique bosses, rest copy paste mobs with 0 unique abilities, mutation iconic Isabella set is useless, dead content on arrival
Barnacles | 2 unique bosses, rest copy paste mobs with 0 unique abilities
mutation nereid set is useless, dead content on arrival
PVP reward track | useless RNG rewards and no clear/nonRNG rewarding path progression for PVP should’ve came with faction vendor overhaul using Azoth Salt
Arenas | no rating/ranked system, long wait times, unrewarding
Brimstone Sands | 0 solo PVE content, copy paste structures, 1 new dungeon and some new recourses/materials, cool story though, but that should be 0 of AGS their concerns we need repeatable, engaging and meaningful content.
Group Finder | basically same as typing in recruitment, still having to link gear and no quick click and join
and now Leaderboards | promoting toxic behavior, not very accessible, ugly low effort skins, missed opportunity not having ranked arena integrated
With this track record and 0 improvements after the contents initial launch, it will just stay only thing that got improved is separating 3 stack in arenas
I think alot of people wouldn’t disagree with the mutation leaderboards.
So the leaderboards aren’t the problem.
The rewards and what they are rewarding is the problem.
This is what needs fixing.
Rewarding for score in PvP is fine, but you can score more points in empty dmg and passive gameplay right now than you can buy actively playing the gamemode.
It’s honestly better this way. They are going to be dead content anyways so might as well ship it and hope the next content update isn’t a waste of dev time.
The only leaderboards that could possibly be competitive are elo in rated 3v3’s (and premade OPR’s), and M10 score/time. M10 score/time are already implemented in leaderboards, and they have no plans on adding elo. Ship it and move on.
