Have a new suggestion on the animal hides in the game, that devs might wanna look at.
In low level zones like everfall, windsward, first light you get rawhide on all animals you skin.
When you reach higher levels in higher level zones like mourningdale and restless shore, you get thick hide.
My suggestion is despite the level of the zone, all animals should have diffrent type of hides compair to if its an medium or large animal.
Large animal (thick hide), elk, bison and I put boar into thick hide.
It would be weird if a low level player killed a bison and would not be able to skin it other than that I don’t really see this change negativity effecting the economy even if a low skinner could get raw hide and a higher level elk let’s would just drop more of it
Rawhide is the only low tier resource where you can’t find in all territories aside from maybe the occasional ram. Not sure why they balanced leatherworking like this specifically. Maybe high levelled animals should drop a ratio of leathers? Ie. Level 60 Wolf would drop 15 ironhide, 10 thickhide, 5 rawhide. It would make killing high level animal mobs worth it and less tedious for sure.
You can literally find a plethora of iron nodes, hemp, etc in level 40-60 zones, why not make it equivalent across all professions?
