im 175 in fishing, have all fishing luck 3 gear + legendary fishing pole with luck (only 1 minor trophy).
i’ve always used best bat for rare fish and i NEVER saw one legendary fish.
I’ve tried different hotspot (1,2 or 3 stars) but nothing.
I think something wrong on my char, can u check please.
My character name is CILOVE and im on FATE server.
Repeat: 175 fishing on hotspot only and NEVER saw a legendary fish.

Yeah i dont think you know how the fishing loot table and perks work… just because you have a set of vengeful gear doesnt mean its the best items for fishing legendary. You need to do some more research to differentiate how fishing luck work because it’s different from chest and gathering luck.
You dont have enough luck to get legendary fish very often.
Right now, pole luck is broken. But you should still see legendary fish if you max out.
@Ryanaslett i use all those points u listed except the point 1 (trophies).
I think dont need 3 trophies to fish 1 legendary.
With 3 trophies maybe u can fish MORE legendaries but 0 (zero) with all other points its not normal.
With maximum luck and everything working correctly, you will get an average of 4 legedary fish (41%) and 6 treasure chests(59%) from a 3 star hotspot.
With the fishing poles bugged as they are currently, you lose 20000 points of luck.
Which means at a 3 star hotspot with everything else maxxed out you will get 46.3% blue fish, 48.7% treasure chests, and 5% legendary fish.
If you insist on not using trophies, despite the fact that, yes, you absolutely need them, then you lose 12500 more points of luck (assuming you keep the 1 minor)
Then your chances are 2.5% green fish, 62.9% blue fish, 31.4% treasure chests, and 3.2% legendary.
This is all assuming a 3 star hotspot. The odds of getting legendaries at 1 and 2 stars are very very unlikely, even with max luck and everything working.

they aren’t needed. I have gotten legendary fish while low level, with a bad pole, no trophies, and no fish gear. It’s just a super low chance event. You should just go fish at more hotspots and you will get some eventually.
Music luck buff doesn’t affect fishing, since fishing is considered a casual skill and not a gathering skill. The only music that benefits fishing is territorial standing.
It does, actually. I can show you in the datamine if you’d like. But you get 500 fishing luck points from the buff.
