Can we get a lot of people to upvote this? I mean, these materials are just being dropped on the ground all over the place. No one I know is keeping them! They are selling for a couple gold. If these items are not used for top level crafts, then allow us to salvage them into something useful. Or, if nothing else, bump them down in quality so it feels normal to drop them on the ground.

PS - I know they are used for crafting legos, but seriously those are kind of terrible. I mean, if they were good quality, maybe they would be useful.
