I’ve heard many different things and answers and people saying the tested x,y,z, but honestly I don’t have proof or evidence and think we, as a community, need these answers.
I love this stuff and plan on diving in harder into this stuff and testing more myself, but figured I’d ask all of you too. I plan on making a video to highlight everything here all in one spot.
All I know for SURE is the following:
- There is a 50% empower cap (just like fortify)
- specific damage boosting abilities with a limited time duration of the buff falls into the encounter number (example: Whirlwind)
- Keenly Empowered is 100% empower and obviously counts towards the 50% cap.
Questions to clarify:
- Do ALL gems (opal for example) count towards the encounter cap? I’ve heard rumors that opal does not, but since it’s situational (based on stamina) I assumed that wasn’t the case.
- Do damage buffs on rings count towards empower cap? I’ve heard Slash and Strike and Thrust do, and heard answers both ways for elemental damage buffs on rings (fire, ice, etc). What’s the confirmed answer?
- New runeglass gems in armor, some adds melee damage (believe this is confirmed to count towards empower cap), and my question is about the runeglass gems in armor that adds elemental damage boost (example: adds 1% damage as nature damage). Are BOTH of these damage types from these gems counting towards the empower cap?
- One of the new heartrune gems (brutal heartburn of detonate) adds a 15% damage boost when charging before the detonation. Assuming this is a clear fix in the empower bucket, but wanted to confirm.
If you have any PROOF with your answers please let me know below, as well as the answers to the questions above. Again, I’ve chatted with many people the last few weeks and new answers pop up left and right.
I would LOVE an answer to all of this and compile it in one central video to spread awareness on the truth!
Thanks so much!
