So I finally made it to level 60. It took about a week and I started with the Brimstone release and a new character on Heliopos. I was so happy to finally accomplish this task after over a year on NW and several failed attempts. NOW I am frustrated…what am I supposed to do. Grind grind grind to get expertise. The hard part is I get killed all the time now, worse than before. Is anyone else feeling this. Tomorrow is the FS servers and I am going to go thru all this one more time…or will I.
Grinding expertise has been made easier but in the mean time craft your own 600 gear and you don’t have to wait on expertise. By self-crafting 600 GS items you get the full value of them. Use the event recipes for 600 gear score items and them play the game, expertise will come in time.
I started to do faction quests so you can afford gypsums. You can get your trades to 200+ to get gypsum’s too if I recall correctly. I get some from gathering professions (3x diamond gypsum’s make 1 normal gypsum). You can farm elite ares to and get crates. The main story quest in Brimstone gets you some great weapons for your level. I’m loving my bow but, the bow is quite a way down the MSQ oath k think. If you’re in a guild then see if you can get them to help you with expedition or just get to know a few of them and farm elite areas whilst exploring. I find this fun, as I’ve only just hot 60 the other week.
Hope this helps. I know there are other ways to progress gear. If you go to a gypsum forge you can hover your cursor over each type of gypsum and it’ll tell you how to obtain it. I think there’s about 10 different activities to join in on.
Enjoy. ![]()
Yup
Anything you do in level 60+ zones is just harder and that’s also how you gear-up and expertise up for the most part.
Self-crafting to gear up without waiting on expertise bumps can also be very expensive to get to the point where you can craft GS600 gear for yourself. It’s a different kind of grind with an added coin cost.
It is a rather radical game change at 60 for anyone who has played it casually mostly solo questing with some expeditions sprinkled in from 1-60.
Spot on Iselin. I have always been a casual player and now I have to grind grind grind grind…I watched a youtube on expertise and grinding and that to get to the top expertise and weapon gear score could take MONTHS…looking forward to tomorrows FresH Start I will try again and this time I will be better prepared when I get to level 60…I hope.
prepared for what and why arent you prepared right now? Just play the game. xD
