I think healers that heal in groups keeping everyone alive in the party should get weapon skill exp, instead we have to shoot the mobs before they die and help everyone stay alive.
Something like
If -player is healing during combat with lifestaff-
Is -eligible for weapon skill exp with lifestaff-
There’s a Life Staff perk called Blissful Touch that adds healing to light attacks passing through allies. You should always be attacking when you’re not actively casting a skill.
I think the current meta is using the big CDs, like Orb, Beacon, and Sacred ground, and then Left-Clicking until they are back up, since light Attacks reduce the CD
In groups with lots of Damage dealers i as a healer do not get enough hits in to get credit. Especially when i just arrive at a Breach and am not in group. I can decide to put a heal down for the already attacking people or attack immediately, it doesnt matter, i dont get xp because i am not doing enough damage even if i get attacked by almost everything and even if i solo killed a couple things there.
If the life staff user gets aggro’d from attacks, then the tank isn’t doing their job. The tanks should be generating more threat than anyone else, and they should be taking advantage of carnelian gems slotted in their weapons to generate additional threat. If you’re having issues being aggro’d, equip a carnelian gem into your armor so you generate less threat.
One problem with that is that light attacks (even though you have the absolved perk) are making the mana regen very slow compared with just standing still…
Did something change or was it always like that?
