Light Armor changes and you

Ok, I know there are many posts already on this subject so I’ll keep this short:

We - everyone concerned about changes we have absolutely no hard facts about in terms of specifics or impact - could maybe save ourselves some grief and just give it a rest until we see the actual details and the changes are ready to test in PTR instead of thread after thread of…

It wouldnt be the NW forums if people did that, but i agree with you.

People would rather complain now so that in future arguments they can say “told you guys AGS didn’t think this through”. Happens every time, imo AGS should stop teasing everyone by announcing plans for nerfs. It’s not like it softens the impact for anyone.

I think this is relevant also,

The parable of the blind men and an elephant is a story of a group of blind men who have never come across an elephant before and who learn and imagine what the elephant is like by touching it. Each blind man feels a different part of the elephant’s body, but only one part, such as the side or the tusk. They then describe the elephant based on their limited experience and their descriptions of the elephant are different from each other. In some versions, they come to suspect that the other person is dishonest and they come to blows. The moral of the parable is that humans have a tendency to claim absolute truth based on their limited, subjective experience as they ignore other people’s limited, subjective experiences which may be equally true.

They announce the direction they’re going on, we disagree with the direction they’re going in. Details don’t matter when the intention is clear.

Yes, they do. If there’s some fractional adjustment that mildly and incrementally adds some risk without breaking the LA model then much of this is “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing”.

No, they don’t. The previous nerf to Light Armor was already too heavy-handed and any further nerfs are just too much. Feel free to disagree, but it’s all about direction. And their direction is trash.

I am glad that the Devs are considering more tweeks to Light Armor for the 8th month in a row! So, uhhhhh, if we are not intended to dodge at all, where are those uhhhhhh blocking updates they have been advertising for 6 months? I guess we will get that with Transmog.

And “hi there” to yet another person not bothering to see what changes actually are in the works before mocking them. :expressionless:

How does leather taste, boot big yummy ya ? 07:51 - 08:24 the Devs discuss how the Musket changes were not effective. Glad to know that the testing people (to include myself) did IN THE PTR did nothing to actually direct them to giving a third look and double checking their math. Still they persist in NOT REMOVING HITSCAN, rewinding on making Musket a bit more “run and gun”, and seeking to hamper “accuracy” when not sitting still and shooting. But, ya, please continue running to the Devs defense when it pertains to combat and balance LOL. I am sooooo going to take your word.

And here is why the Devs dont listen.

Don’t blame them for not listening.

Oh they don’t listen or read, alright LOOOOOL.

I think they would be better off adding some perks that work well with med and heavy. and leave light as is. That way you don’t piss people off and have something new and exciting to look forward to. 2 EZ

People are afraid and voice their concerns because NW has a history of messing things up. Whats your problem ? Go back to heavy/med axe swinging … you dont have to read those posts.

I am a LA user and this is my post. Follow your own advice?

I disagree. If they were too heavy handed everyone would be running medium and heavy again, but they aren’t.

They’re making damage mitigation perks based around equip load or based on individual pieces.

That’s all the info we have, and all we need to be pissed.
