Medium dodge should be increased by 10 tbh to be inline with the rest
I go in light armor and there is no player to kill me with one hit. All my gear is >580gs(crafted by me) and all have Onyx gem
I have 50 con to get the buff from potion, rest of the points to int and focus.
There will be a nice system anyway based on the weight. Something like:
- Light: Increase your speed buffs duration 15%
- Medium: No buff
- Heavy: Decrease your speed buffs duration 15%
I’m a light musket/rapier player 598 gear score 300 DEX 150 INT 50 CON. It is definitely a glass Cannon build I can do a lot of damage, but anyone can kill me if they can catch me. I think light armor is ok, high damage, high mobility, low survivability, I think that’s where it should be at.
Liked it until you said “reduce light armor damage” LA is already underperforming in damage. It should always have higher damage then damage mitigation. Currently it’s not possible to have a glass canon, your just glass
Light armor does need a small buff i agree, the only thing carrying it right now is the roll but that just makes it a poke style unless youre ranged. Light armor should come with slightly larger lunge distance than medium and heavy for melee weapons and a bit more of a damage buff to compensate for the squishiness. This is coming from a former heavy to medium user
If you cant hit Headshots musket is just not for you.
I agree that the benefits of wearing light need something else, perhaps some sort of utility.
But if you invest nothing in survival… don’t expect to survive.
Maybe a 10% buff to armor and damage for light? Add 10 Stamina to medium and reduce heavy armor by 15%
That is a lie. Any decent light armor player can kite all day long.

No it doesnt. Light armor with enough con and using dodge survives just fine.
what you call “a lot of risks” is 10% more damage on light vs medium. Liitterally. You also get a better dodge.
As a heavy armor user (tank), I’m about to throw up seeing heavy armor everywhere. Heavy healer, heavy sorcerer, heavy void, heavy ga/h. light armor is not weak, but heavy armor is a bit strong I think. I think they should increase the damage increase of light armor to 30% and that of medium armor to 15%. So we can get rid of the disgusting heavy armor meta in the game.

Currently if you position well you can hit melee 3-5 times before they can reach you. That is why the damage is only 15% per armor type while survivability doubles. If your damage doubled you would kill every melee before they can even land a hit.
Most good ranged players are still elusive and hard hitting even in melee. A musket/rapier user can repost trap then shoot you 2-3 more times before you can fight back.
Any more damage buffs and you will make range unreachable. You would have to add some mechanic to protect melee like sword and shields to be able to walk up to them without dieing. At normal speed while blocking.
If light armor needs any adjustments it’s to do something to let melee find it useful. No melee pvp players would ever pick up light armor. Everyone would destroy them.
The counter from a rapier is a little overrated when you can evade the slappy counter strike that stuns you.
And if you see when pointing their rapier at you with the sha shing sound effect, you can just stand there, they will most likely evade immediately after. If you correctly anticipate the direction they evade to, you should be able to force them to beyblade away or evade again.
Without the stun from the rapier, the trap is basically useless.
