Light's Embrace Cast Time

It doesn’t make any sense.

Lights is a single target heal. You use it when someone is say at 25% health. You have to rotate your mouse to the person in the first place which takes time. Then there will be a delay for casting time. The target’s most probably dead.

That is also a problem other players will start feeling.

Light’s Embrace was the only proper healing skill which could target another player saving his life on the frontline.

With this forced AoE meta on healers, it’s just a bunch of ticks, which will definitely feel less impactful.

I cannot speak for all healers, but I know many that get targeted quite frequently, hence why you always need to be on the move. Having to stop for 1 second to cast a heal on someone simply does not work. Mainly because the healer will be dead or cc’d while casting, or the targeted player has already died.

Hence why I still ask for a review on light’s embrace.

I played about 1,500 hours, and all of those hours were as a healer. It just does not feel the same with this change. PvP is not dungeons, you cannot just stop in your tracks to try heal a single target.

Not only has Light’s Embrace been bugged for a while, where your LE does not work if someone already used LE on someone, now you just want to remove it from the game entirely.

As I previously said, with this patch, 3 out of 6 skills from the healing tree are unusable. Please take us into consideration. Thank you.

I find AoE healing to be so stupid. You just don’t feel like a healer if you just cast AoE spells, might as well just switch to another class entirely.

Sounds like World of Warcraft. Why dont you go and play that instead?

Healing should of been left alone and in pvp they should of introduced something like arenas that weakened all heals across the board if they werent happy with healing in pvp.

It was absolutely fine in pve.

I just did OPR as a melee dps, great axe warhammer, and the healers were dead so fast, so easy, they cudn’t even heal himself

fail balance, extremaly unproffesional…

The thought of quitting genuinely crossed my mind…the build i’ve spent 800k gold on feels like trash. whats the point.

no but thats the thing, we have been telling them this entire past month how we are fine with the changes but they did too much, they ruined lights embrace so now its a worse version of divine embrace. Life staff already kinda sucked but if you liked that one ability? Oh well.

Someone phrased it nicely in one of my discords “Also AGS is basically saying “if you slot a healer you get heals, and that isn’t fair to someone without a healer””

its how its supposed to be when you give someone something that heals and does NO damage… the other team without a healer could out damage the amount a healer can heal for or stun the healer but they chose to just let healers die.

We also said “oh its the rapier that people are complaining about” so they nerf the rapier

Or “guess we will have to hide the pillars because its the only way to live now” then they nerf LoS

whats next? Do we have to dance to get out sacred ground off?

Healing used to be fun. Now it just feels clunky and took all the fun out of beign a healer. This game aint worth it imo anymore. This will be my departure!

Whats worse than healing nerfs? getting 3 healers in your 3v3 arena que…

I never was a fan of WoW, but other MMOs heals are kind of like WoW. In addition, WoW has lasted this far so that says a lot. If you feel heals are great here and that’s your play, then good for you.

They way it’s going, you probably are right.

I mean it works here for PvE but I don’t think it does for PvP. But yeah, I completely understand your frustration.

Rephrase that and replace “healer” with any other build/role in this game and the DPS/AGS will understand how absurd that sounds. But I agree that’s exactly what they’re saying.

I guess other players will soon start to feel their deaths ramping up. Especially in wars.

As I stated beforehand, I do not really feel like playing for AoE heals, rather play a different game for a while and just do PvE instead, since that is what the healer class seems to be for now.

Unless you are a statmonger and just like the feeling of having high healing scores because you run full AoE.

The fun in this game’s healing for me was healing people as a single target in clutch moments, sometimes outnumbered, sometimes outclassed.

Please take note of this AGS, this is people with 1000’s of hours in this game asking for a review. Don’t lose players which have only showed you loyalty when others have just up and left.

Our Life Staff tree was already messed up with only 4 usable skills, now we are down to just 3 usable skills, them being AoE spells. We are not even like other classes, where we can carry a different weapon for healing, just a VG with ORB.

Please re review this change.

being a healer in a 2v1 or the last person in a 1v1, so fun…

We asked all month and they listened to literally nothing healers said, they want to appease DPS… they wont even attempt healing in their arenas to show us how they really think healing should be played, because they know it sucks.

They saw all of our complaints, no doubt about that, and ignore it, they want to ride this out and sure new people will get to experience the garbage healing now in wars because the old will quit but so will dps who die over and over because their healers have to be psychics to precast somethign to even attempt to save a life… gonna be so great for those who stay

whats wrong with splash of light

I’m a healer, it’s all I ever played since launch. 625GS, medium, full focus, rest in con, all bis gear for PvP and full ward set for muts. My primary content for the past months has been M10 mutations and OPRs.

I logged in after the patch to run a few PvP faction quests. I haven’t been keeping up with the news, so I wasn’t expecting a contentious run.

I couldn’t LE myself out of 1v1 even when sitting in SG. Unfortunately, I had at least 3 unique opportunities before I gave up and decided to get my gypsum casts another way.

So, i pinged my reg group and ran M10, and for the first time in weeks we got silver instead of gold. I can’t keep up. It’s like everything else is moving at the same speed or faster, but I’m sluggish.

I visited our office in Bangalore a few months back and had a similar issue… it was due to network latency b/t India and east us. The week that I was there I resorted to faction quests rather than OPR or Muts.

I thought that’s what this was, it felt just like it.

I haven’t played since my first login after the patch, and frankly I don’t care to try the 3v3 content.

This ruined the game for me.

Or Devs could add a mechanism where hiting targets with a Life Staff accumulates Stacks for 5 seconds and at 5 stacks casting time and healing is increased by 50% for 5 seconds. And just remove the ‘extra healing per buff on target’.

Sadly, I don’t have hopes anything like that will be added anymore. Project seems to be in life support and devs are doing the minimum
