I have been playing for quite a while now but recently had to take an extended break and during that time my entire company/friends had transferred to a new server and that server is now locked. The server I’m in is now a low pop server with OPR being unplayable due to hours and hours of being the only person in queue. I would love to transfer to the one med pop server you have unlocked until ORUN opens up but I’m afraid I will not have another token to be able to go play with my friends once their server opens. until then I’m stuck in a loop of logging in to see I can transfer and then logging out because it’s still locked.
i come back every day in hopes something within Amazon changes. I haven’t given up hope, but I’m not holding onto it for dear life. If amazon doesn’t value me as a customer, I will take my gaming elsewhere.
Definitely understandable, I don’t expect amazon to move mountains for me and I know many others are experiencing the same issue. If nothing comes of it immediately, hopefully they see that many players are wanting to play their game but if they continue as they are they will completely dry out their player base by not assisting.
I’m not bitter in the slightest, just stuck in a server that most have long abandoned and would enjoy playing the game in a server that has a decent population to do anything other than farm.
I was playing this game actively every day several hours. My server eventually died. There was a whole week I couldn’t que into an OPR match. 2 hours a day, 7 days, thats 14 hours i waited for an OPR match. So my company was forced to move servers or basically not play the game. so we switched, and it got locked.
I haven’t played this game in 2 weeks. Its a HUGE fuckin blow to the gut when I was playing this game so much, now I haven’t even logged in. My worlds population is under 70 players total.
Amazon is just waiting for more players to come back so they can shovel people like us under the rug since we will be minorities.
I’m currently on Olympus which used to be one of the biggest East coast servers, now the only thing to do is farm and wait for invasions so I definitely understand. Hopefully something changes soon so the many players that are stuck can once again enjoy the game.
I am sorry that you’re having problems with the transfer, currently all servers have a limit on how many people they can hold so it can be stable for everyone playing on that same server, I know you were split from your guild mates but currently we do not have an option for you two, still we are making improvements on the servers and also we update the status of the servers when there is more room, I will leave here a link to the official news:
Any update on this @Fostus? Because it appears that currently no server is actually full on US East at least. The most populated server (which is strangely not locked by the way) only hits 84% capacity at the peak hour of 2300 and is at 80% capacity between 2200-0000. For the majority of the days the most populated servers hover around 50-60% capacity. I understand that you need to balance server load based off of peak times, but no server is even close to experiencing queues. Many players are in the same boat as @Ekard with the march release looking promising.
New World is a game where players want to play with their established friends (as well as make new ones) but I know for a fact that many people would rather play a different game if they are not able to play with their desired friend group.
I’m in the same boat as the OP . Took a little break 2 weeks to be exact, to find out my company had transferred to another sever only to find that server is now locked and doesn’t even get close to having a que but its locked and I cant transfer to it . Its BS really I could understand if the server had a que or was nearing that que regularly but as of Sunday morning there are only 696 players and its still locked for transfer’s and character creation.
I love how you link the article that shows they helped out players who transfered to Midgard, but have screwed so many other players to the brink of quitting. Really classy. I don’t understand how all players don’t get fair treatment. I paid $40 like the rest. I actually paid $120 because i loved the game and bought it for two friends who didn’t have the money.
