Unlike the Trading Post divide that doesn’t make sense I feel differently about storage spaces.
The system is designed to push you into owning multiple houses or at least moving between multimple cities to perform different activities while managing azoth efficiently. It also gives a place for furnishing into the economy.
I don’t think it is that bad, certainly not as bad as the local trading post in a fast travel evironment.
I don’t agree that we should have unlimited storage in sheds. or have them linked. I would like to see a way to craft an item that can increase shed storage just like the backpacks.
“The storage limits and distances between storage sheds all across the map makes the game become more a storage management simulator than an MMORPG.”
If your faction is overrun on your server - as ours is, you have no access to your banks. I spend literally most of my game time trying to manage storage. It is INSANE! I have to run from bank to bank just to craft. This is ridiculous. I sell/delete/salvage so much just to keep the contents of my bank to a reasonable level so I have crafting supplies space. Managing excess is not the issue. I would even pay real money to increase if I had to at this point. Although I would rather they just link the banks. It is great to have the competition of the factions, but bank space should not be tied to that. The winning team is already winning by setting taxes, crafting, and tradepost rates - why should they also get to determine my bank space!? Please fix this issue as it makes playing this beautiful and wonderful game quite miserable. I don’t want to have stress when I go to play a game and relax, but that is frankly the current state as it stands.
Maybe just linked storage for purpose of crafting. If you have the “ingredients” available in another town shed, then enable you to use it to craft an item in a different town.
I spend way too much time moving things from one storage across the world to another storage because the crafting stations aren’t being kept up by conquerors. This makes the game an exercise in tedium. Instead of fighting, I’m playing storage management simulator. It’s getting really old, really fast.
I’m up for linking them, it’s the next logical step but I do think limits of some sort should remain in place. It helps you keep a tab on what you own as you’re more mindful. Once thing that could help resolve the issue, but is poorly executed is houses and chests. 1 chest for a T1 house yet you aren’t made aware of that until it’s too late and your 50% reduction is gone. 1 chest! Assuming its max tier, that’s an additional 500 space. Not a lot when you think the small houses can easily house 3+ should they be filled with chests, not at all! But 1 is taking a liberty.
All storages should be connected, and their capacity summed up.
That’s all, and I think that is good idea.
Argument about botters is good, I understand, but why we have to do not propose any improvemnts because of bots. Devs should just take care of those ruiners, and delete them all.
what do you order to do with my 3 Top-house and 4 chests in each of them?
the game provides that you will create / buy a lady and put chests in them, as well as in the future replace your chests up to orichalcog. Yes, getting them is damn hard, yes, it takes an investment of time or gold, if we are talking about buying a ready-made sudok from a crafter. But! the game already gives you ways to increase the storage size. If you don’t and complain that you don’t have enough space, you are playing wrong.
They were not linked because they wanted us to travel… however… they mad crafting more tedious, servers being low pop or fighted areas over are constantly downgraded in workstations or shifted to another area.
While I can understand the reason why they did not link it in the first place, the overal game mechanics are backfiring so hard it is just awfull.
On instable servers (especially the ones after a merge or where major groups changed) the shifts in territorry ownership can screw you over big times. Suddenly the T4/T5 stations are somewhere else so you just play a Delivery Guy for hours to shift your stuff around. Invasion hits… bam you cant even craft anymore your storage full the workstations downgraded.
It would have been way more reasonable to have storages linked but trade posts not, now we have it the other way round.
AGS Constantly adding new materials is also not helping as they clogg up more and more storage.
With the current state of the system I support the idea of linked storages for at least crafting purposes.
The size is imo completely fine. If you link the storages you have way better overview of the stuff you have and you are able to refine lower tier stuff causing it to be less clogging the storage.
If they increase the storage then it should be directly linked to the territorry standing (but if storage is linked how should increasing area wide the storage help? It would make area standing kinda weird?
I strongly agree with your points on the nightmare of trying to organize storage. If a territory gets downgraded or flipped and the new owners no longer upgrade the stations you need… What a nightmare to have to reorganize things so you can craft again… I’m currently going through this after the merges.
That said, as nice as it would be if they were linked, I still don’t think it’s the way to go… instead I think each storage shed should be able to be made available at other territories by paying a reasonable fee. Similar to housing rent. Owning a house in a territory should automatically include this feature. So you pay the fee for your Windsward shed, for example, OR own a hose in Windsward and now you can access that shed anywhere.
Here is a post I made on it. if you like the ideas at all please show it some love.
I prefer that they allow you to move items between warehouses even if the city does not belong to your faction, that it costs money to move items from one warehouse to another and that they reduce the cost between warehouses of the same faction.
ONLY your house-owned storages are linked. Either by default or perhaps a new Furnishing item unlocked “Cloud Link” at level 125 Furnishing. I do NOT want all storages to be linked.
The cost of moving items between Faction-owned storages is GREATLY reduced, as moving 500 pure solvent costs nearly or more than just buying from the Market.
Allow any storage items to be transferred at the same cost as now - reduced for Faction-owned towns (as mentioned in #2).
I agree that all Storage should be linked (except maybe the House Storage) but i do not agree that the space should be unlimited as this would increase/aid BOT farming to the game.
