List of Upcoming Changes in Brimstone Sands Update

Yeah of course. A whole new Enemie faction would suck hard tbh. Another gear set you must farm. :open_mouth:
The important thing is, that the mobs don’t look like another and have unknown abilities and movements.

nice, gj

If you say so. I’ve studied Latin for 5 years during and prior to Law School. Part of studying Latin is studying the Aeneid. It’s one of the most important remaining literatures of Rome. Now, ask yourself this - Brimstone Sands is about the Romans. Why would the Devs name something relating to the Egyptians? Sure, IULIUS CAESAR had a baby with Cleopetra, but that’s as far as Egyptian goes in Roman history.

the game left alpha and we are in beta now, they will release one more zone prior to total relounch with massive update that will double the actual map.

this game for longest was not developed as mmo, so all pve assest were created in 1 year, insane ! where it should take at least 3 years after pre-production, which takes 1 to 2 years.

I don’t see droves of people coming back for some pretty pictures.

Enneads… It is not misspelled. They were even in Moonknight. They even talked about the Egyptian gods in the videos. They even had mummies and Egyptian armor that looked like bird god from Stargate.

Good to know you fail on so many levels.

  1. Watching the vids.
  2. Understanding the spelling was proper and ignoring culture for your own elitist gating opinion.
  3. Your ego is misplaced
  4. We already know who the Romans are since they have been dropping spoilers since they began tuning early level progression not to long after launch (possibly during OB). The Varangians.

Seriously, you talk a lot but do not pay attention about what you assume you know. Learn to read and spell.

Quite simple

False, after Alpha 1 they decided a new direction. During Preview (before Alpha 3), we had a sneak peak of Reekwater and Brimstone Sands (via someone breaking the death barrier).

If you look at the official site’s NEWS you would know this instead of making assumptions.

I said that for multiple reasons. First off, the player base has the impression that this is an expansion. It is not, it is simply a large update with a new territory. Because of this many players were expecting a lot of new content. However, the content that we do see is very similar to the content we already have. For example, look at this screenshot:

Does this place and the mobs not remind you of Syleio Seko in Reekwater or the numerous other places that have similar assets with a reskinned version on the mob in the screenshot?

Again, there is a lot of new content and new areas but I think that some players will be expecting more and that some will be disappointed.

You can blame that on a lot of misinformation being spread around Steam community.

We have trolls who have been spreading rumors of an expansion that includes BS and much of the Autumn release.

Here is a recent false information post. This guy’s post history shows the true nature. THis person enjoys talking as if this is an official expansion and keeps pushing false information mixed with actual release information.

The poster in the link is even trying to push a rumor that BS will have forced PvP zone. I have not heard anything about this from CC that has thier NDa lifted, not have we heard about this from the devs. Something that big would be known when BS was revealed.

Man I am super hyped, the mobs are still the same as they follow the canon, but the look, animation, abilities are different.

When normal mobs starting to look like copy & paste, but from the SHOP, you know they’re not joking around ! I was always baffled why world is so repetitive while New World shop visual assets were like a million years ahead of the game. Now with new animations, abilities, they do feel enough different for me. Still I will ask you to wait and for now enjoy the content, they’re cooking something big and Brimstone Sands it’s only beginning.

I get your point, hype is good, but after adrenaline is gone there is normal whitdraw, it gets better, so for now I am going to enjoy what is clearly a great update.

PS Repair team is rarely the same as building/ designing team, so I feel like the repair team needs support (current build) , where design / build team working as they normally would ( new content team )

Well we can see that they fight differently at least.

Hope that new map is real thing.

It is not new. Been passed around for about as long as NW has been launched. The existing zones after BS is what you seen in the dev vids. The remains of the map you see is for after this present roadmap.

If you actually read the lore, they mention an ancient city far to the north past the unforgiving sands. Nothing that was revealed shows the ancient city. We got more to come after this roadmap is over.

If you payed attention to things that have been said, there is mention of an expansion. But when?

Source?! Love this list!

I wonder if my 600 GS bags will update or not… Hmm.

Not sure if your complaining or just pointing out. No offense btw.

What would you consider a reskin and what not?

Every game reuses assets. I can kind of see the criticism when you currently level from 1-60 (although I think it gets overblown) but what we saw from brimstone looks fresh and new with much more variety. And we have only seen a glimpse of the whole patch.

What I have seen from the zone alone looks incredible. How they make a huge bunch of sand look this good and interesting is impressive to me.

I for one very much look forward to it and what comes after.

My main concerns stem from believing that Brimstone sands will feel too similar to the current content.

Coming Soon: The Ennead Expedition

Players must challenge the Corrupted Legion head-on and delve into Ancient Ruins where they will face the vigilant Anubian Guardians and solve hieroglyphic puzzles to achieve new power.

When the sands settle, players will have explored ancient mysteries with Imhotep, defeated powerful Sand demons, and perhaps, if they persist, restored the rightful ruler who can finally bring order and hope to the region after centuries of chaos.

That seems like Egyptian to me.

Sorry, it was not mispelled or Roman. Some of that research learned in law school (snicker) should have helped you make the proper decision. Poor judgement, I assume.
