Loading game world with different than english windows keyboard language active bugs keybindings and causing many visual glitches

  • What is your character name in New World: Setris
  • What server/world did you experience your issue on: Galahad
  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: When i have another language set in my Windows and enter the game world while this another language is active, all in game keybindings are wrong compared to what they are acting and all in game boxes where i have to see keys are empty. Also, there is a bug in the visuals, when i click Esc the whole screen turn to gray and everything is barely visible.
  • Is this a bug? BUG
  • (if a bug) How did the issue affect your gameplay: very much i am always relying on key hints during gameplay also there are some other visual bugs in the menus which are not allowing me to play.
  • (if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: Yes, click Exit game to Main Menu, change Windows language to English then click Play button again. If world load with English language active in windows, everything is good.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
  1. Create additional language profile in Windows: Choose language settings for your keyboard, websites, and apps - Microsoft Support after you are ready
  2. open the game Main Menu on your character screen
  3. before you click Play change your language in my case it is Bulgarian, you can try with every other language cyclic or not.
  4. Click play button you will seethe mentioned visual bugs from the pictures after entering the world: -all keys in the keybindings main menu are different from what they are acting, -keybindings hints all over the game are gone, -when you click ESC key everything became grayish, and also they are some other kind of visual bugs during movement of my character
  5. As a workaround, i am clicking “Exit game to Main Menu”, changing my keyboard language to English, then clicking play and loading the world again.
