Loading screen freezes the whole PC for a bit

• Describe the issue you are experiencing: while teleporting somewhere, any time the loading screen comes my whole pc gets bugged out. like for example in discord i can’t speak if im in loading screen, or can’t use any other app. i just have to wait for loading screen to load up.
  WHAT should I do? about this lovely game that works flawless?

UPDATE: Capping fps to 60 seems to be fixed the problem boys.

2ND UPDATE: capping fps to 60 didn’t work after some time. Did a clean windows install, it fixed only for 3 days… Then the problem appeared again… please help.

Have you tried verifying your game files in steam? Perhaps also double-check to make sure your drivers are updated.

Hmm, you playing on a special resolution? Do you have any monitoring software that would lead you to believe something is going wrong (e.g., GPU temp high, CPU load, etc.).

Also, has this happened before the winter update or just after? I’ve seen some folks mention in the forums having performance issues since the winter update went live so it could be that.

everything is on normal settings, nothing different on my pc. default all the way. I ve asked the global chat about it, and seems like some people are having the same issue “since the brimstone update” as they say. But it shouldn’t be. Since for streamers it would be a pain.

So I recently bought a new PC. 4090 gpu, i9 13900k processsor. Everything seems to run fine until I seem to get random pc freezes while playing New World. The computer freezes only when playing New World in about 2 hours+ -. Sometimes I get a blue screen implying that it’s drivers at fault, and sometimes it’s implying memory problem. Most of times I don’t even get a blue screen and I can still hear sound from my pc for a bit, and then I have to push the button and restart the PC. I thought it was the graphics card, an ATI 570 xt 8GB because it gave me some crashes when i first bought it, so I got a new one, an ATI 6600 8GB. But game is still cra…

What GPU and CPU do you have?

5500 xt 8gb, amd ryzen5 3600
in my old pc which it was worse than this there wasn’t a problem like this one.

I have the same problem and already did everything but the problem persists. Your GPU is the same that i have, my cpu is a AMD Ryzen 5 1600. I played this game last year and wanted to comeback and play again with friends but the don’t work at all. Did you find any solutions?

Happens to me on my older machine. Honestly, happens very rarely on my brand new machine as well. My wife’s machine is between the ages of my 2, and she has the same issue.

It’s definitely hardware related, and the older your machine the more frequently it seems to happen.

I guess I found a solution. Capping FPS to 60 seems like it fixed it.

But how did you do that? Did you use any program to put your fps 60 by deafault? If you could explain the steps that you made.

There’s a setting in New World.

Settings, then Video, then “Max FPS”
