Okay so, judging by the amount of views on the videos out there, I’m sure most people have seen that there’s a few datamined leaks and one of them relates to Loadouts.
Firstly, yay. Gear management is one of the major frustrations in the game at the moment. However, I’m pretty worried about implementation, from the little we can see.

This implies slots, like weapon or armour slots, and in this bit of code we’re seeing two. My concern is that if AGS is putting loadouts on the paperdoll, a) it’s already pretty crowded, and b) that really limits the possibilities of using this system to alleviate gear issues.
Just off the top of my head, here are my current gear sets:
Skinning, Lumberjacking, Mining, Harvesting, Fishing
Stonecutter’s, Tanner’s, Weaver’s, Smelter’s, Woodworker’s
Armorsmith, Concoctor’s, Jewelcrafter’s
Corrupted Ward Med Str, Courrupted Ward Med Dex, Ancient Ward Med Str, Lost Ward Med Str, Angry Earth Ward light Int, Ancient Ward light Foc, Corrupted Ward Light Foc
Twenty sets and I don’t even have my tradeskill sets finished, plus I probably actually have more fighting sets. Forgot the luck set and I haven’t even started putting PVP gear together yet.
Ultimately, I’d love to see this work in its own interface, with related stats to go with the armour, jewelry and weapons. But at the least, give us gear set “containers” that we can use to separate and store our gear. Don’t restrict it to two loadout slots on the main paperdoll, because that’s just a slap in the face.
