It requires 2 stone brick and 6 lodestone, but lodestone is the rarer resource. As with all recopies it usually requires more of the previous tier crafted material. This feels flipped and would explain why crafting up to voidstones is broken aside from possibly double dipping on lodestone instead of using lodestone crystals later on.

Yes. This recipe has been inverted since the beginning, and seems like an obvious design bug. That and the fact that you need lodestone to make lodestone brick and you need lodestone to make obsidian voidstone is also a weird one. It’s like they intended for there to be an additional type of stone and never implemented it.
It causes a price problem in the tree. Runestones are made at a total loss unless you mine all the materials to craft them. I’ve seen them selling for the same price as obsidian voidstones.
Either it needs to be flipped, or the drop qty of each lodestone ore needs to be quadrupled.
I crafted Obsidian Voidstone today. I bought ALL the mats and refined them from stone the entire way up. total cost per Obsidian Voidstone to do this was 37gold each with trading post lowest sell order of 49gold. so actually not a loss at all. and thats even buying ALL of the mats.
