Today i was playing the game and i needed to relog cause my chat bugged and i wasn’t able to write on any chat except group chat. As i logged out and tried to log back into game i caught an error presented below:
Unexpected disconnect to server. Reconnecting in progress…"
There’s what’s going on:
As the game tries to log in, loading screen appears for half of a second
Then it goes black screen for another half of a second
Game shows the menu screen with an error message (as shown on screenshot), then it hangs for 2 seconds here
After 2 seconds loading screen appears for milliseconds
Then black screen, nothing happens, it just hangs there (alt+f4 is needed here to exit New World)
I tried to verify game files on steam, for the first time when i tried it it said that 5 files are corrupted and they will be downloaded again. But it didn’t fix my problem. After verifying game files error still happens everytime i try to log in. Next tries says that veryfing game files ended succesfully and no errors were returned.
I have never had an issues like this, from the beginning i always need to try to log in like 10 times before it actually logs in but that’s not the case here. It happened randomly after logging out to the main menu.
I’m sorry to hear about you having issues with the game, thank you for adding the troubleshooting performed. In this case, could please try the following:
Make sure that your Windows install is fully up to date with no update pending.
I tried everything you suggested with no result whatsoever.
One time i managed to connect the server and enter the game, but game was haunted by several malfunctions.
(HUD malfunctions, not being able to enter any menu, in inventory there was hud all over the place including weapons interface, pinned quests, compass, when “ESC”, “K”, “M” keys were pressed there was only a sound of opening menu, abilities and map but screens didn’t show).
Sometimes when i try to log in there’s a message box that says something like this: “Your account logged from the different session of the game”, but it’s not.
What are our next steps? It’s literally unplayable for me right now. I didn’t have any issues like that in the past.
