AGS, you’ve got something bloody good going here, and I’m loving it.
Logging in each day is so anticipated, to either relax or to engage…the choice is mine.
I am surrounded by beautiful landscapes, once the headphones go on, i am immersed in captivating ambience.
I run quests to accumulate coin and tokens, standing and profession xp.
I engage in Wars, OPR(Outpost Rush) and Invasions to co-operate with my fellow player, improving my skills, and further replenishing my coffers of coin and azoth, and when fortune smiles, my gear.
Nothing is given to me, I must earn it, which allows me to feel those specs of pride that I have accomplished something of value for myself but also those who I endeavour to help.
As a father of a 3yo and husband, with a full time(and then some) work, I’ve dropped about 200 hours in game, achieving level 60 and about a 530 GS.
This game has ripped me out of my other games(WoW and Ark) and totally on me over. It’s such a brilliant iteration of something similar but different, and for all those 200 hours, I’ve not considered even logging into another game.
This game has such a bright and engaging future, and I am thrilled to be apart of it. Can’t wait to log in today, can’t wait to see what’s next!
Its nice to seem some positivity on the forum. I think New World has a great foundation and as time goes on and the growing pains subside it will become a really solid MMO.
I choose where to and how to ‘squander’ my hours. All i know is I read my boy his 3 books at bedtime, followed by singing some songs, hugs, kisses, then we say our “I lub yous” and goodnight.
Pretty great way to end each of his nights of consciousness.
Wow what game is this guy playing, seems like I need to check it out because New World, the game I was playing until yesterdays disaster, is an absolute dumpster fire.
Good for you for bringing some much needed light and positivity to this dark corner of the inter webs.
While I do not share your opinion on NW, I respect what you are espousing here.
Keep enjoying the game and more importantly be the BEST Father you can to your youngling! Those years go fast and I would give anything to have them back with my kids!
Best of wishes to you and yours as you navigate this MMORPG we call life!
You sound entirely too invested in a relationship that isn’t yours. Maybe spend more of your time worry about yourself and less about what people on the internet are doing.
He basically lives on this forum, and is very bitter and angry, it seems pretty obvious its been quite a while since hes had any kind of human relationship.
I think that not thinking about his situation is his goal, because to stop and think about it would be unbearable. The best thing we can do is pray for him (or just send good vibes if thats your thing) and otherwise ignore him.
