Looking for help in understanding Neishatun, in Tempest Expedition and specifically how to beat him.
This is not a complaint, legit we are trying to figure out what we are doing wrong and why we keep failing.
Full group of regular players with 620gs all around, we have done all other dungeons with no problems.
We know to take out the orbs, and we know to get out of the way of the circles.
Here are some of the problems we run into every single time 10+ deaths on this guy alone before we give up for the night.
there is no rhyme or reason for the placement of the circles. (sometimes they don’t show up where mobs are but this does not work in mutations)
cannot see the full screen to tell where to run to next
cannot make it across the screen in time before getting hit with the fire rebuff
if anyone drops its impossible to get them up before they will take damage by some effect or another going on in there.
sometimes orbs don’t spawn in the middle, its all across the board.
sometimes there circles spawn outside of the main fighting arena
one DPS is older and has troubles seeing the difference in all the red; they have trouble seeing.
Healer 625 Life Staff/Void G
Tank 620 Sword/Hammer (200st/300con)
DPS1 & 2 620 Great Axe/Spear (300st/200con)
DPS3 620 Hatchet/Spear (300st/200con)
All using T5 corruption coatings, incense, food, honing stone. Everyone is running Corruption Ward armor. and Ruby’s in armor for non mutation.
We have watched a few videos and the only tips we get seem to be the same.
First circle phase, just stay near the center most border of the circle and you’ll be able to get anywhere quick. The trick is during the second and third circle phases, anywhere a grunt spawns will be safe for the next cycle. The problem is most servers are lagging so much, surely not related to them being at capacity, that the grunts are spawning out of sync so you’re having to guess where the circles will be.
Set your FOV higher and zoom out.
Many weapons have some kind of mobility skill. Spec into it if you’re in heavy.
Picking someone up is all about timing. Sometimes it’s better to leave them down until a different part of the fight.
I’ve only had the orb spawn across the room once and we didn’t get it in time. Other than just being faster idk what to do about that.
Not sure what you mean here.
the red on red is easily the most annoying thing about that entire dungeon.
So yes the 3 tips you find in all videos are still correct. Also I’d suggest you run onyx/diamond instead of ruby for armor.
Depending on what server you’re on, I’d be more than happy to join you for some runs to run through the fight in real-time.
There is some good advice here. Especially the one about moving your FoV back out as far as you can go and staying in the middle for the first phase. Sometimes, you just get screwed with the rings. Even folks running M10s have this happen to them. It doesn’t happen very often, but it can.
One thing that our group found helps is to have at least one of two bow players shooting from a distance, while the tank takes aggro. Then they can rush in with rapiers to take out the orbs when they spawn. Also spread out the bows and healer so Neishe can’t target more than one player at a time with range.
I had a hard time with the circles in the beginning but can make it through every time now. Takes practice. And that large FoV.
Use Rapier as second weapon. It doesnt has to be a good one, just to improve your stats, but if you get cought in the circle or you arent able to get out, you can “Riposte” the dmg and debuff you would get.
plus if you use “Fleche” you have extra mobility to dodge the circle
This is basically true and just part of the challenge. As stated pull out view (scroll wheel for most) to see the most “birds eye” view and spot safe zones.
Scroll out view to see the most of the area.
Stay right on the edge of the safe spot and center fire circle towards the center (hope that makes sense) and when the circle goes start moving into the center of the ring immediately while you look around for the safe spot. This will give you the shortest distance to the next safe spot which sometime will actually be where you came from so look their first. It will take a few trys but once you get good at this it makes it much easier.
Knocks need to be left down until main boss fight starts again and he’s done his first fire waves. There are deffintly limited times you can res so better to leave them until it’s safe.
That’s sounds like a glitch they should all be pretty close to center or slightly off center.
Not sure what this one means.
This is true for everyone lol. They are just hard to see in the red environment, so we all miss some.
As stated watch for grunt spawns as those are almost always a safe zone, sometimes not but almost always.
GL, my team used to quit out of frustration at snake boss and now we gold M10’s so it just takes time and practice. Good Luck!!!
Rapier is amazing for this fight. I play healer and my brother plays tanks. before the fight starts we each equip a rapier . We use it with repost, flèche and evade. Repost can cancel out the burn if you get caught in a flame circle. Flèche and evade are there for high mobility
