After my server (Abaton) restarted I lost both of my houses. The items I placed in the house were transferred to my inventory and I didn’t get any gold back.
This issue was not caused by a rollback because I’ve had these houses for several days.
I put a lot of time into farming those houses so what I would really like to know now is if theres any way to get them back, and if not I’d like to know if its safe to buy new houses in the future without having to worry about them getting deleted by a server restart too.
I can get into my house as a ‘visitor’ in the same way I can spectate other people’s houses.
But I no longer have ownership. As a visitor I have no house teleport and no ability to move or place furniture.
The house is still being displayed to everyone, myself included, under my name, but thats about it.
My friends and I have same issue (Ekera server). We were dropped in the middle of the Dynasty (I’ve lost the key btw). And after maintenance we had no houses.
Lost my house on Abaton server in Restless shore after the server restart
What is your character name in New World: Kielon
What server/world did you experience your issue on: Abaton/Vanaheim Eta
Describe the issue you are experiencing: Lost house
Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug
(if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: No longer teleport, no storage
(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No
Right before the server restarted it was behaving oddly.
Day switched to night instantly and players were being kicked.
For example some of the people in my company got kicked from the server while I was playing, and then I got kicked while they could play.
After which I joined again and noticed a server restart had been announced, I gathered iron until the server shut down and I got thrown out.
So I got kicked while others could play, then I could play while others got kicked, then I played until i got kicked for the actual server restart.
Don’t know if any of this is usefull but I thought I’d just add it in case it is.
I thought the ability to go and look at my house as a ‘spectator’ would disappear some time after my house had been taken away.
But today, after the patch, I can still go and spectate my old house (without owning it).
I suppose this means my house is still somewhere in the database (has to be because I and my company can still go and ‘visit’ it) but just not ‘linked’ to my account?
Any news on the problem with the lost houses on Abaton?
I can still visit my old house as a guest, and i see all my chests etc… but i can’t claim the house as my own. It still says Gortak’s house, but i’m Gortak and i can’t use it…
I went and bought the neigbours house, so i can fast travel again, but i need the stuff from my old house! Please help me out
Just now my house (which I still don’t have ownership over) changed from having several thousands of points to 75 points.
When I enter the house as a visitor nothing has changed, it looks the same as it did when it had thousands of points.
I have the same issue. I lost my house the same way and all the same things happened. Still can visit as a guest but can’t recall or furnish. Lost some points but there it is still, my house on the list. This really has made me lose interest in this game because the affection on the gameplay is so huge.
Previously played daily over 10 hours but now I just can’t even bother.
Got so fed up I tried to waste the 10k gold to buy the house again, but couldn’t.
And oh, before the random night-to-day change I got kicked for afking even tho I was fighting PvE.
Your own issue has been escalated, but unfortunately it is an ongoing issue. The devs are aware of this problem, I’m not lying when I say that of course you are not the only ones with this problem. We have to wait on the devs to have this issue fix, but there is no estimated time at the moment.
We really are sorry for issue but we also appreciate the patience. As soon as there is any word/fix from the devs I’ll try to let you know!
Thanks for response. Are we supposed to wait or can buy a new house now? Its extremely hard to live with encumbered storage in a village that is meant to act as the main storage place.
