Lots of named items are never used because of bad perk synergi

I think it’s a shame that AGS have put a lot of named items in the loot tables that will never get used.

For instance Warden’s Guise that has Luck and Resil or King of the Jungle that has Beast Ward and Resil.

These are just wasted on BoP items and you can buy a 2-perk from the Trading Post with the useful PvP perks for almost no gold.

I think these items should get updated so they have relevant perks.
For example replace Luck on Warden’s Guise with a Shirking perk, Freedom or Vigor, and it would be a good PvP item.

There are many other named item drops where I just wonder what the devs where thinking when they made them…

Agree, they should eventually come up with a PvP/PvE split.

No one would ever need WARD + RESILIENT, as well as LUCK + RESILIENT gear. And so on.

Sunrise Kiss and Melting Point are 2 other examples. Why would you want Thwarting Strikes on a Dex weapon…

A good solution is to just let players reroll a perk, only 1 perk, once a day. make it very expensive so people can’t just BiS right off the bat.

Edit: This might kill crafters though, idk. maybe not a “good solution”.

All these dead named items should just be taken out of the loot pool.

Just does nothing to muddle the waters for actual good gear and makes legendary items feel worthless.

Named items need a slightly better stat range or extra mini perk. They really are pointless

I think they should just get reworked. Named items should always be useful, and not have wasted perks.

A named item doesn’t have to be BiS, but it should at least come with all perks useful. This way people can farm for specific items and not rely on RNG (because regardless of drop rate, you can craft these items with materia).

Or the requirement to have a number of named weapons to combine into a really decent one, with better stats or a 4th perk.

Example - 5 named swords from single mob drop locations across the map to craft. it would get people chasing all kinds of different named enemies.

actually for some of us luck resil is quite useful. I want a whole set like the wardens guise. if you’re a loot goblin who is constnatly flagged you do want luck resil gear. i’ve known people who stack beast ward for hunting too who are also constantly flagged. just because you don’t use it doesn’t mean NO ONE else possibly could want it
