acctually hate that a bit, why isnt there some sort of “rend” on our burning ( we basically burn their Armor )… :smiley:

You might like IG/VG more if you’re drawn to clumps. VG will always do more for the fight than FS.

Well be near the enemy then, and learn to push the shift key when needed. You legit have 2 of the BEST debuff/CC weapons in the game, that you can offhand, without sacrificing any damage.

FS being a very solid DPS weapon…and you want it to be able to CC also?

The idea of FS being able to stun or slow someone, dump damage…then swapping to IG/VG to slow or root even more…just lol

Every other weapon besides life staff and firestaff has some form of hard CC. So I disagree, i think fs could still have at least 1 Cc Skill, perhaps rework FT to be a burst of flame that knocks people down as well Apply decent burn ticks them go on a cooldown. I do agree with everything else you have said so far about fs mostly. I never thought the damage was low on fs. I do think the changes don’t help fs as much as people are looking forward too. Most of the changes are nerfs. Only 4 changes are great and the rest are kinda meh tbh.

Pillar is buffed. Singed is buffed. Pyromania is buffed. Backdraft is a buff compared to the old passive re heat. Flare was a huge buff but now we’ll see how it plays out with the changes. Everything else is meh.

Pillar is really isnt a buff it require a setup now with smolder stack, as before in live it didnt need any set up. Cleanse smolder stack after fireball hits you because pillar will follow. If you do that you eliminate POF damage to be worse than on LIVE. Its a nerf bro. Big woohoo it cast faster but still has same issue with targeting.

Incinerate is a huge nerf. It use to hit twice and heal for damage to help make up for the risk. Now it really is a dead ability 100% no one will use it.

Fireball is weaker than on live nough said.

Meteor has 2 perks that are dead one that gives mana other is grit, why does a 1 sec AOE ground target need grit? Like giving grit to Ice Storm

Flamethrower is meh and only good for bullying ppl who dont know how to use stamina properly.

Burnout was the one ability where they could have just sped up the animation and did nothing else and ppl would be happy.

Flare now messes up FS heavy by slowing it so I dont even know what to think about.

Backdraft wasn’t consuming the smolder stack like rapier FnF so it is less DPS then just letting the burn tick.

Couse this are mele LMB spammers. Ppl that want to kill other players by pressing random buttons in random moments. Moment they can’t spam lmb to death they think other build is op: fs, ig, bb, light armor. Always something.

Melee players want big nerf or remove flamethrower from the game because they can’t spam left click and this thing annoying them so…

In fact they can. If they spam left click while you are in range with FT you will die. But 9/10 mele does panic couse they are not used to see hp droping when they are on light armor mage/bow player. Reality is no matter what weapon they do have, they can do more dmg by just left clicking than you can do with FT to them.

So do you think will be better use range ability like pillar, Fireball and meteor

I think pillar will be main ability use by fs mages in next patch.
And some will stick with FT but most imho will use fireball. And ofc burnout for pvp. For pve burnout will be swaped for meteor or FT.

Hard to tell for sure. But i dont see FT used as much as we see now with changes we have on PTR. Pillar is just way better couse you dont have to risk mele perma slow.

I don’t think anyone asked for the built-in grit. I think people were fine with the stable incinerate perk and just wanted faster animation with perhaps increased knockback.

They used the 20% added base dmg + built-in grit as an excuse to butcher the skill.
What’s the actual point of getting built-in grit + tiny empower afterward (with flame out) if the total damage isn’t even as good as a basic heavy attack and you’ve served yourself to the opponent right after? It’s basically high risk, no reward now.

Flamethrower is so bad now, with the slower tick rate its not even good in pve. Thanks Amazon, thats another reason to leave.

Incinerate does not hit hard at all, its like 2k. It feels like a wet noodle. Its damage needs to be increased, or its cooldown significantly lowered. I would advocate for a cooldown reduction per target hit on incin, or a reset on hit.

YEAH. the hit rate nerf was absolutely necessary. Damage every .5 seconds for an ability that you can channel for 40 seconds was nuts, and the facts that you cant use pots while one is on you was stupid.
