It’s been 10 days since I have finally acquired my 3rd and final major Loot Luck Trophy and I have yet to see a Golden Scarab in that time, nor have I gotten a squirming vines where prior to I could expect to see 1 or 2 per daily Brimstone World Tour/Acid pools route. What gives?
I’ve been playing since before release, and haven’t ever had a deck or dice drop.
I have only two small luck trophies, but have managed to get about half a dozen scarabs.

until brimstone was released my luck was absolutely horrible and I went on chest runs for months with the same luck gear and trophies. Enter Brimstone and when I started doing chest runs I got a stacked deck and an hour after the reset I got another one…both from the exact same chest.
luck is extremely random to the point where it feels like it isn’t luck at all…my buddy who had no luck got like 5 scarabs in one run with no luck gear, no luck trophies and PvP off.

Luck is designed terrible. Very unclear, and the fact you can’t tell your luck % without adding every single thing up is stupid.

I get more scarabs wearing no luck gear vs wearing any. Don’t know how this makes any sense.

I seem to be much luckier than I ever was even with just 3 basic loot luck trophies. It would be really nice to see what our luck is though. When something says it adds 2.8% luck, what does that even mean. 2.8% of what exactly…
And let’s not forget the ultra-shitty ‘loot buckets’ that just add more stuff to the pool the higher the tier.
I can’t fathom how anyone at AGS can think that ‘elite’ tier chests in Brimstone should be giving us garbage tier 1 and 2 starter zone items when opened. Especially after making us chase down runestones to open many of them.
It’s piss poor game design, TBH. If they’d sort out the drop table/loot bucket idiocy, ‘luck’ might actually feel lucky.

If it “Works as intended” or not, the loot system could use updating. I’ve experienced the same things you guys are describing of luck feeling like it hurts chances to get scarabs. I want luck on, because I want rare furnishings/schematics more than scarabs. But a worldtour from one end of aeturnum to the other will spit out Maple XYZ, Crumpled Disappointment Letter, and Pocket Lint same as the first boxes outside of First Light. The loot bloat is unnecessary. Luck would probably work great, if it weren’t increasing your chances to get the same stuff you got in the starting areas. I would think level 66 elite zones should not have level n/a Rickety Busted Scrap of the Trashcan as “loot”.

I’m doing chest runs with the intention to hopefully get rare schematics, particularly Birmstone Sands/ Ebonscale Reach schematics/furnishing items and other rare drops, and I have yet to see anyone selling them in EU-Barri.
- Mediterranean Furnishing set
- Centurion Furnishing set
- Goldfish in Porcelain Bowl
and a few other schematics I couldn’t recall atm, hopefully this is going to be looked into so that players who are interested in furnishing generally are satisfied. Furnishing is already not even worth the effort as you only need trophies, storage chests and town buffs. other items are just for show unfortunately. 
You have a 1/10000 chances of getting an official answer by someone with authority on the subject and works at AGS.
You have a 1/3 chance instead of getting an answer on the subject by people who are the opposite of above.
That pretty much will explain luck is broken or not.

More luck just allows u to get access to better ‘loot box’.
What u and many others are thinking is that getting Luck Trophy and/or Gears will guarantee u MORE drop.
Getting access to better ‘loot box’ can include dropping the crap Legendary crafting weapon items - theoretically they are better quality than Squirming Vines (Green) or others.
Golden Scarab me and my friends tried to farm it few days with luck gears, few days without luck gears. Results were never the same, there were days when one of us could drop 5 scarabs with no luck gears but also when repeated process dont had the same luck repeatedly.
