I’m sorry that you’re having this situation on your trophy crafting, sadly it is totally your luck, I know it can be kind of mindblowing but I can assure you is totally unlucky.

That cant be just “my luck”… 5 more runs without any trophy mat. On this server I had like every single trophy mat run in Brimstome 1 trophy mat per run.
Now > 10 runs nothing, after using this equip and getting more(!) luck.
Maybe its something with too much luck or another problem like that and not the equip itself…
But you cant tell me, that this is “totally my luck”.
If I have a 95% chance in over 30 runs and then 12 runs nothing, thats not just “bad luck”…
I totally understand that this could be a frustrating issue, usually the crafting is completely luck related however if you feel that this is not a normal behavior of the game then you can submit your feedback ingame following the steps on this link:
As well I can recommend you to reach us via player support using the following link: Contact Us | Amazon Games to create a support ticket and review your case in more depth.
Please make sure to add the DxDiag and Gamelogs through a sharing link from a Cloud Storage like Google Drive to the support report, you can pull it following this steps:
DxDiag report:
Go to Windows Start search bar and type dxdiag.
Click on dxdiag.exe.
When green progress bar goes away, select Save All Information and save the file to their desktop.
GameLogs:
Game logs can be found on: \Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\AGS\New World\CrashDB\reports\

Reduce ur luck to your previous luck amount. You are over the luck loot table, your dice rolls do not hit the trophy mats or have a smaller chance that u dont even see it.
The Customer Service has misunderstood your meaning by thinking this is a craft. Plus even the devs doesn’t know how luck really works. I reckon the main dev who created it already left. Your dice roll is too great to even hit the trophy mats bucket.
I made 4 runs today, while leaving this equip in my storage. So no luck gear on head, chest, hands, legs and feet and I got 2 epic trophy mat items in this 4 runs…
So its pretty clear…
There is a luck value and over that value you cant drop epic trophy mats => would be a bug in my eyes
There is a problem with this event equip, because I didnt have that much less luck, before switching to the event luck equip and I even tried several runs with just 4 parts of it…
Personally i have tested full luck running acid and all i got were gems. Reduced it to 6 pieces and voila no more gems, either gear and the occasional scarab.
Most parts are true, some are applied differently, and yes having more luck limits the items u will get because, the dice roll system works in a way that
Green belongs to a certain range, etc etc.
Your dice roll will first roll a roll to target how many dices.
Then each individual dice is rolled and depending on the number it lands will determine the tier.
If this helps u, the code is basically an AND table. so Multiple individual roles combined with lots of buckets depending on the rolled number will determine ur loot. Therefore going above the required luck will lower ur chances of getting lower tier items, this applies very specifically to fishing and the codebase for gathering and loot is almost the same.
I had a full set of the event luck gear and everyone else but me was getting drops when we were farming the armorers set. Next day while farming the smelters set I went with a different non luck gear set and ended up with all 3 and 2 duplicates. I also seen people without luck getting trophy mats more than me whos been in that full luck set… so either Luck is off right now or that set has issues.
Would be REAL nice if after a YEAR of us asking they let us see what our Luck stat is with the other stats. Can’t see how that would take more than 2 hours to code and test. This type of low hanging fruit that gets ignored is what makes me never want to play this game again.
I run a lot, and loot running is what I do. I think there is a variable that is actually skewing things incorrectly. Much like the GMs claimed that Sound of Bells Page 2 was in the game. By the way, later it was confirmed the people out here were right it’s not in the loot tables. Personally, I design a lot of loyalty, data and game play table mechanics, and reward mechanisms.
I still agree I think there is a formulaic issue here, that no one is addressing. It may be a misplaced number or many in the calculation. I speculate there is a another variable that is secret that they wont share (which makes sense) - I suspect there may be a
Total item rarity versus drop across the world variable for a duration of time (that’s how I would design the system myself as a product owner)
Total item across days or quality of item drop for the player (to ensure that sometimes players don’t go a week without a BOE leg for example) I don’t think this exists.
Total item drop at the time of day is different variable / night versus day.
There may be one or all of those metrics at play. I certainly wouldn’t reveal the entire formula, but something definitely seems off. For example, I’ve been running for over 40 hours + trying to get heart’s gem from amrine. No luck. I switched to my kid’s character to see if I have better luck.
Either way, there seems to be one or two miscalculations in the results. I definitely have seen a point in luck were an item just won’t drop soon as I take off my gear it drops. I also think there is a region modifier as well. Speculation of course, but that’s how I would design this system.
This is offtopic and plain wrong. There is only 1 music sheet that is not dropping: Sounds of Bells 2/3. If it were in aptitude chests nwdb would be able to list it correctly.
Luck implementation is trash in New World. I used to run full/max luck and it gave me less items/mats/drops than running only with bags and trophies. Food is useless also. I stopped wearing pearls, luck weapons and i even dropped 1 loot luck trophy from the house. I have “some” luck but not max and it is much better.
Besides let put it this way - with 0 luck your chance for Squirming Vines is 0.15% - with absolute max luck (food, gear, weapons, flag on) your chance is being increased to 0.16%.
The devs talked about luck many times, explained how it SHOULD work, still there is no way to know if that is true. ( like 100 focus SHOULD improve salvage yield, but only works for repair parts as an example of another not working as intended mechanic)
There should be a table containing the luck range items are in, for example loaded dice is between 95k and 100k, stacked deck 90k to 95k ( this is an example , not how it is now in the game).
Also in game we should have an indicator for our equipped luck to know the range we are in so we know what to expect.
Most likely this will never be done, we already expect for a long time already for things that require less work to do.
Ideally that’s how we should know for sure, with an indicator in the ui for luck and a table posted on the forum or nwdb for example.
Also I noticed as well that I get less good stuff with more luck I have equipped.
Devs said that there’s no sweet spot for luck , my one year experience of playing daily sais different, it looks like the more luck you have on, more “unlucky” you become…sadly.
You might be right, but i still believe it is obtainable from a the aptitude chest. I will have to ask my friend who as 120 aptitude in music to verify this. I didnt start the topic though i jz replied along with it hahaha
I have over 2k hours with hundreds of full WT’s, luck runs with guildies who do them several times a day, etc…
I have gotten precisely 1 trophy mat out of chests, with full luck gear, max trophies, and playing with luck food periodically, out of thousands of the right chests. The guys who I run with will get multiple trophy parts, with the same exact amount of luck, doing the same runs. We’ll be freshly outfiited, fresh placed trophies, same %'s, you name it. I’ll farm with them too, with zero luck gear and no trophies, or all of in full luck gear with various trophies, and there’s only one conclusion I can draw.
Each character has an RNG ratio based on some metric in the game they aren’t telling us, or aren’t aware of. Your luck gear may unlock certain tiers (clampmax) of loot, but your toon is either working properly and can get the items in the % AGS reports, or you’re bugged and have a dramatically lower percentage.
I don’t want to say X is better than Y.
But please… Just do something like GW2 luck(magic find).
Every time you salvage items you get “luck essence” and consume it to get passive luck.
Why the hell would luck be a perk /gem on your gear.
