They will have to change that mentality if they want to get gold in m10, or get very good in the game.

I really enjoy the new updates. M10’s, that should be the hardest pve content, was way to easy before. There is 10 levels of mutation for a reason. If level 10 is to hard, then do some lower ones and learn the mechanics and work on your gameplay. Stop think you’re entitled to get gold on m10 just by enter in to it.
I agree with you, however I don’t think this is fully the issue.
AGS just didn’t mention anything about this, they should have managed player expectation (comms, loots and experience), and because they haven’t, the ‘overturned’ mutations genuinely feels like an oversight on their side or a bug.
It all goes back to our trust within them and their integrity as a developer. Keep us informed and we’ll adjust accordingly, keep us in the dark and we’ll think it’s a bug/oversight/poor dev.
It may well be okay how difficult M10 currently is. The problem in my opinion is that AGS released M10 super easy at first and made it harder and harder with every major patch through various adjustments.
If it had always been this hard, that would be okay for many, but you can do a content and then after a patch no longer, then you work your way back, succeed again, next patch again harder.

yeah but did u noticed that cilla is buggy now too?i saw it three times today, that she didnt spawn a ball to reset her damage on the 8-10 tick…one time the ball spawned at 14 ticks, two times on 16 ticks…
its not a big Deal, but who knows, maybe 3 or 4 patches in the future, cilla might get as buggy as caretaker is atm…just saying
I completely agree with this.
Before the Fortify changes, the game was super fun and M10’s were also super fun (they were still challenging, and I looked forward to them every day) but now… The game just sucks.
PUG’s are not even viable anymore (unless you get lucky with really decent players and depending on which dungeon is active that week) and some dungeons the top M10 runners are just skipping that week because it’s just too difficult to do anymore. With the original Fortify PUG’s were still a thing to consider but now, I don’t even want to run an M10 unless I know the people I am running with, and I am certain most players feel the same.
They brought out leaderboards so that the people who are doing really well and pushing beyond the limits will be rewarded and showcased to their server but now, the top runners don’t even want to run anymore.
Fortify was such an important mechanic and they just go ahead and change it because of some PVPer’s complaining. They should have just left Fortify how it was and removed Shirking Fortification or at least made Fortify work differently in PVP.
I’m getting sick of AGS changing super important mechanics like this constantly, all the time and effort I have personally put into my gear and strategies just keeps getting wrecked by the developers changing too much around it’s just annoying.
TBH… I am just waiting for another New World like MMO to come out now, one who has a permanent vision for how they want their game to work.

AGS put insanely damaging attacks on trash mobs like Genesis Soldier and Dynasty Spearman. They also made several bosses hit behind theirself, like Thorpe. You can get hit by these attacks when the mob begins its attack, pretty much instantly and with no warning.
AGS also made player animations move the player forward and getting hit by mobs move players around AND made several mobs do silly jumps and spins that move their collision box. This can lead to players being hit unpredictably, and while animation locked (not even possible to dodge so don’t suggest it).
Also let’s go right back to beta feedback: Normal mobs stagger, stun, knockback and push around players too much.
Fortify frankly was a band-aid over all these issues. Nobody really cared to ask for animation and hitbox fixes when you could usually survive it. Now that you cannot, it’s very frustrating to just die instantly for any of the above reasons.
This is all compounded by the changes to 300 STR grit and removal of stagger from a bunch of player abilities. It’s much more common to get staggered and trigger a fatal chain of events now.
Tbh fortify changes are what makes it stand out more. But one thing that could be changed that would make a lot of sense that would help with this, would be attuning enemy abilities to do the same element type as the mutation.
For example, Dynasty this week was frost, the handmaidens as well as the final boss, do void damage. Forge - a lot of enemies do fire damage.
Gemming for Fire makes a lot of sense there, unless it’s an Ice Mutation, then what?

That’s not really enough, plenty of enemies do damage that isn’t mutation type. Ennead archers for example or priest boss in Depths.

If they converted 50% of all damage enemies do to mutation element not just their physical attacks would help out a little.
I know, I do think the devs should fix that and make it a fixed elemental dmg type instead of a different one for each boss but it’ll take them too long to work on it and realize it. So in the meantime , amulet switching works

I’m up with it being challening. I hate when you gear up in WOW you can gather 10 mobs and kill them with full health.
But this is too much. I struggle as medium
I think it is fun, harder but i just tanked m10 Laz in medium, m10s are just spicier now cause you cant just spam, pugs hah na the “hardest PVE” content should be hard and needs coordination with competant teammates
laza is the easiest dungeon by far imo
