300dex, rest in INT, 5 con, arcane gem in musket is the build sir. You’ll gain over 250 base damage on your musket. Anything else, you’re tickling kids.
This is so extremely ironic . Sounds exactly like you and why you want mage weapons to be buffed. So you can win for free against better players and never bother to learn how to play.
That you disagree with me does not mean I am uninformed. Compared to you I have actually come up with arguments and examples that proves what you are saying is wrong. You just state your opinions, but nothing more.
You may disagree with me as much as you like. That is fine, but to me you are the biased one. I understand that there is no reason to continue discussing with you because even if you had clear evidence that mages are fine right before your nose you would still not be able to see them.
I honestly want all weapons to be as balanced as possible. The game and pvp combat overall would be much more interesting if we see more variety and more builds are viable. I already see plenty of mages though and those weapons are more than viable.

YO decent points! However on my server we have very high skilled mages who top dmg in every single war. Mages can do alot of dmg and can clap kids when used correctly! I think the nerf was very uncalled for but at the same time firestaff and IG still can pump numbers when used correctly! LETS GOOOO!

Why are you even in this topic? You clearly don’t know anything about “mage damage” and have proven that in your responses throughout the thread.
Your posts are nothing but noise and part of the reason people aren’t able to comprehend the actual issues.
If you are going to discuss something, please actually have the tiniest bit of actual in-game knowledge about the topic. Otherwise, you’re just here trying to distract from the actual issues.
Mage weapons aren’t unplayable or anything, but they don’t feel good, especially the Fire Staff which lacks the utility of other weapons, but also doesn’t outdamage many of the other weapons that DO bring that utility.
The damage is AoE, but a lot of weapons also fulfill this niche just as well or better than the Fire Staff. I think a lot of people say “mages” when they are really specifically talking about the Fire Staff and it’s misleading.
VG is fine, IG is… well, okay in a gimmick build. Fire Staff is… okay. But there’s no real reason to run either of these weapons any more as their niches are filled better by other existing weapons especially now that the VG is out.
When the VG also gets nerfed into the ground, I’m curious… will you guys still feel that “mages” are fine?
Not true actually. Incinerate hits twice, at 300 int I typically crit 2200 per hit with it. At 400 int I was critting 2500+ per hit. Pillar, I’ve hit players for 5k crits as well.
Well thats just not true. Im a mage [FS/IG] since day 1 and will stay mage until NW leaves me steam library. Mages can kite very well and wombo combo certain abilities to get a kill. I do very well in opr/wars/ and 1 v1s. My stengths are against melee users. My weakness is muskets. Lifestaff in duels is a pain but with the new anti heal perk that may change.
Im not saying mages could use a little re work but it doesn’t need much. They cant balance this game just for 1 v 1 bc that would just mess wars up even more.
Yesterday I went 29 - 0 in opr with 54 knock downs and 980k dmg. Mages are still good and viable.
