Mages are not that op

i d consider any mage use meteor shower is bad or trolling as FB/POF/burnout are so good compare to it.

the only problem with FS imho is the skill spam, make mana a thing so that the weapon cant just spam massive aoe damage then do IG escape and start spamming again. The damage and hitbox are both fine if they actually have to use their skills at the best time instead of just spamming them off cooldown.

No that bug is back as of the FS buffs.

nope. doesnt refresh, it stacks per hit of the meteor shower.

stacks go down, after meteor shower ends ( and the target still burns )

last year, if a target was still burning the 10 stacks, got refreshed over and over, till the burn ended

There was a video posted here recently showing with and without watch it burn and showing how the bug is back. It might not linger after the burn but it is stacking with it.

OP is 310 con heavy with aversion and almost dies from heavy attacks to 2 noobs likely in shop gear playing the weapon for the first time… doesn’t really show anything

also its in OPR, there are all kinds of buffs and players of all skill and gear levels in OPR its a bad place to get balancing evidence from.

where do you think is the best place to evaluate balance? 1v1?

i quit bow since they buff 6 months ago, that was abuse, i was killing heavys whit 1 heavy attack and i never play range again. I dont like op weapons or cheating.

Everyone complains about everything. It’s so tiring lol.

I think the game is actually pretty balanced. Especially after the last patch. Everything is viable in certain situations, there’s hard counters that exist for builds, healers are killable, mages are viable, light melee can destroy ranged and mages if gap closed, and bruisers still perform insanely well if they have heals.

The only thing that’s actually imbalanced is the map in OPR. Make a close range map and no one would complain about bow or FS as much.

i d agree game not that bad without so so many player went to ranged.

FS is strong, Bow is OP, but most of them are average or below average players, its not hard to deal with to me.

the prob is the amount of them out there, so every melee outside of any fort is in a 1vX situation where X varies from 2 to 20, even tho there is only 1 target in his screen.

yes, fix the map would solve the issue alot.

yet here we are 2 years in the game, not any plan of any new map or modification to map for OPR by AGS.

If the game turns to more ranged FPS side like right now, then it obvisouly need much much more covers and melee needs to be more deadly, just like in other FPS games.

I think melee is deadly enough. The map just screws you over so easily because you’re standing in an open field half the time. If there was more cover you’d have more time to land kills before you get shot at

if i was trying to make a point about balance i would ask a couple of good mages on my server to flag up and fight me a handful of times in the open world. so i could know their gear and skill level and could test my build against theirs.

That’s it. Ppl who complains play on light and wants to be tanks, they can accept that light armor offers basic no damage reduction.
