If this doesn’t convince you, nothing will…
The guy used a ls/vg the entire dungeon with the exception of the second boss where he had to use a rapier to abuse riposte and avoid the dots…

More damage doesn’t mean faster clear. If we give a bow user and a mage/bruiser 30 mobs each to clear, the bow user will surely lose. Also, invasions consist of corrupted enemies, which again are weak to thrust. Can you say you’ll still outperform a mage or a bruiser if the invasions consisted of angry earth or lost instead?
angry earth takes 30% more dmg from fire, lost takes 40% more from ice.
and corrupted just takes 20% more from thrust
100% sure i can deal with waves better with my bow, then i can with my firestaff, simply cuz i cant aoe them down with 100 dmg ice ticks ![]()
Ya that ain’t happening.
pretty sure.
like i said finishing invasions with 5mil + as bow and just 3-3.5mil with fire/ice ![]()
How exactly would u like anybody to contribute? Whoever tells u anything that u dont like, u are against him.
So far the only thing u are looking for is confirmation, attention and flames on forum. Guess who is the troll?
I’ve did 6 or 7 expedition with my alt and I got to 564 GS. Bumps goes from 3 to 10, its crazy easy and fast.
Couple weeks ago when one friend started playing we helped him in rotation and he got 600 expertise before the 25 expedition limit per day.
Then I see ppl saying they need 1.000 or more hours to achieve that … just no comment.
1 Expedition takes 30 min average, considering randoms. In 13-15 hours playtime u should be 600 expertise.
Now if they do Barnacles for 1 Gypsum each expedition its even faster. No idea how fast they want it.
I came back after 10 months and swapped to healer and my friend a tank so we could run fast dungeons for expertise. I’ve stayed healer. Solo questing for gypsum is pretty easy. I just void gauntlet.
1000 hours to go from 550-600? That is so much of an exaggeration it’s not even funny. it takes so much less than that. Getting appropriate gear is not hard, you don’t have to have absolute BiS gear for it to be a breeze healing.
The author simply forgot that the LS was designed as a support weapon. Helping the allies. It should not in any case deal as much damage as even FS, IG and other weapons that have small damage by attack.
I’m solo PvE’ing quite a lot of zones as 625 heal with 410 Focus 100 Con… don’t see what op’s issue is apart from a lack of skill
Support players enjoy being support. Nothing really fancy needed to respond to that. People enjoy playing support roles which is why they exist. A thankless job.
300 Foc / 200 Con you can do fine in solo pve the only issue is running into the fact the LS has limited combat power outside of being a group hospital. You can run a little more rounded, for example if you want a little damage but not enough to compromise your healing output you can run 300 Foc / 100 Con / 100 Str or Dex or Int. You can also try 200 Foc / 150 Con / 150 Str,Dex, or Int. You can modify by removing 50 con, to have 200 Foc / 200 (Dmg) stat / 100 con. Overall you can build quite a number of ways to be effective while soloing as a healer.
Solo PvE is not nerfed by 100%. Just tedious and slow but healers will just adapt like we did to every grief nerf healers got. Simply figure out a build that works best for you. Don’t need a bunch of fancy things to solo as a healer, just build around your playstyle and it’ll fall into place.
Just get a DPS gear set with 2 other weapons when doing solo PvE… Get an axe and a hatchet or a bow and spear or something. Why on earth would you run a Ls for solo pve? It’s not a DPS weapon…
I literally quit because of the void gauntlet. As a healer, I’m now forced to use a weapon I don’t like, or I won’t find a party.
Coming back to the game, I see the problem hasn’t been fixed. Not a single healer doesn’t use void gauntlet in PvE, and nobody will take you seriously with a hatchet. :-\
cringe
Yeah pretty much this post.
The game really encourages group play. Doing certain things solo is fine but to accomplish everything you’re kinda forced to party up.
While it does seem more doable as a solo dps than solo healer because you have health pots and no dps pots, being able to switch your stats allows you to compromise to enable you more.
It sounds like you want to be a full blown 100% healer and nothing but a healer, and then are stumped when it turns out the only thing you’re good for is… healing.
If you want to solo pve, you need to factor some damage into your build. It’s not rocket science.
Just a question, I saw a few times you mentioned terms like “while levelling” are you still on the levelling journey my friend? As in 1-60. If so the build I played while levelling was sword and shield life staff with good healing potential and good damage to solo whatever content I needed ![]()
Thats the worst perk you could have on LS esp in situations where you want to swap to your secondary for damage immediately because as soon as you swap weapons the fortification is gone. You want to have the perk on your armor.
Truth, and removed with oblivion perk makes that 1.5mill lifestaff a two perker.
