Make EXP matter past level 60 - PvE Reward Track?

Hi there! I would like to put forward a suggestion regarding the experience gained past level 60.

Currently, once a player reach level 60, the experience from playing the game and doing quests do not matter. We know however, from the PvP reward track, that it is still counted and logged (you get PvP salts after gaining a certain amount of experience when PvP flagged).

I propose a system in which players would be rewarded for gaining experience past level 60. That can be achieved via a PvE Reward Track, where similarly to the PvP track, players would get a choice of an item every 1/3 of a level. A simpler solution would be similar to the aptitude chests, where a chest would be rewarded every 1/3 of a level. One could even introduce another type of gypsum that would drop from that system.

It would create an additional reward for just playing the game and doing quests. And, with addition of gypsum or potential gear drops, another way to raise the expertise level. I also think that both the town board missions and fraction mission would also gain some more popularity. One could even introduce 10% more exp for being PvP flagged, encouraging people to flag more often, as the exp gains would matter again.
Lastly, it is always nice to see these numbers rising. I believe the aptitude system for the trade skills past level 200 was a great addition, would love to see something similar for the character level.

What do you think?

100% agree. Been saying this since the day I hit 60. The good feeling you get from getting exp from quests or killing monsters, is completely robbed once you hit level 60.

Having a pve track would be amazing, but I think something as simple as a bar like skill aptitude crates, have it give random gear, or maybe just a gypsum orb once the exp bar is filled, and put an aptitude number so people can see how many times they’ve leveled and feel good about it.

Now and since i’ve been 60, seeing exp rewards is a pain in my stomach. Knowing its going towards absolutely nothing

Absolutely agree with this idea. It could add a tonne of variety to the game without adding power, much like GW2 does with its mastery system.

100% agreed

Top tier ! Alongside a rework of Factions missions with the HQ ! This could be HUUUGE & Infinite PvE Quest & EndGame Solo Goal ! Unique skins and title for lvl 1000 of factions ? YES.

Just loop level 60 over and over again; give us a chest for each completion of the loop.

I agree. It should only be pve focused gear, though.

With that said, they need to revamp the PvP track first. It is pretty bad after collecting a handful of jewelry pieces.

I think the territory levels are kinda this already, but are not great. I much prefer the PvE track idea, or somehow amalgamate the two into something better.

This.
I think the aptitude chests for trade skills was the most innovative and best routine I’ve ever experienced in an mmo.
Adding a pve track would be fantastic.

I mean… We have a PVP Reward Track. Why “not” have a PVE Reward Track for the other players?

Makes total sense to me. Great post, OP!

This is a great idea, please please please do this and give us more to work towards in the late game.

It’s because the rewards for pvp content were really lacking. Think of it like a balance decision. There is absolutely no lack of incredible rewards for pve content. People do chest runs every day, people hit mutation cap every week. What pve content needs to be further incentivized?

I mean… for “me”? Nothing really. For all the other people that whine daily “This game sux, yo!” maybe it might be nice for them?

Regardless… I’ll keep playing. Love this game.

Can’t wait until the 18th!!!

I highly support this suggestion. Back in beta, this came up as well and was posted to the best of my knowledge.

At least a small reward for every successful full lvl 60 experience bar would be great.

Let it cycle and each level allow 10 expertise to be added or something.

Such a system makes even more sense in the light of increase experience events like the one currently running. It is great for new characters and people wanting to catch up, as well as these wanting to level their alt characters. However, for these of us that have reached level 60 a while back, this event does nothing.

Having system that would reward experience gain past level 60 would change that and potentially make other players, the one that have already reached lvl. 60, also excited for it!

Great idea, would be really nice to have something like this in the game!

Good idea. I like how crafting and gathering is kept so interesting with the tiers. Good idea to extend to others
