Make oprs and 3v3s as profitable as expeditions

by making oprs a guranteed loss in coin if you wanna buff up, makes it seem like you think oprs are suppose to be only fun and not a actual profitable gameplay. same goes with umbrals, you should get atleast 1000 umbrals per win in opr.

you keep alienating the pvp scene in every single aspect of this game.
the pvp track doesnt even almost make up for the gold loss.
a opr should give 1000 umbrals+ and 1k+ coin.

OPRs are profitable if you get gear you want and would pay tons of gold to get from market.

Arena rewards are crap.

but counterpoint, you can get gear you want from pve aswell. in that case, remove good gear from pve and your point would hold merit in this arguement.

PvP players seem to have a hard understanding of this. You’re not supposed to be rich…or just play PvP. The system is to have PvP as a after though of doing alot of PvE. Everyone thinks this was a PvP game. It is not. it never will be. It never was. The entire style of the game is that of PvE. Quest-Raid-Gear Up…thats the style. They just did it bad. What we really need is a PvP servers. Its far past time. And I’d say the PvE and PvP crowds have had enough of listening to each other’s complaints. At least give people the choice. I know I’d like to run an expo without some moron shard seller screwing it all up at the end and wasting my time, which should totally be in the against code of conduct. And maybe PvP players won’t like things so much when they can’t get carried through what is easy content anyways. Doing this idea as servers are you just break the market even more

Nah they understand it, they just don’t want to actually play the game, they want everything from doing nothing but logging in and war logging or OPR q

the pve is incredibly boring, only times ive actually done expeditions is to get the heartunes. i hate that content. and if it was up to me they can remove the expeditions entirely

Pvp gear should come from pvp. Pve from pve. Both but not bis in given season from crafting.

The game was designed as a pure pvp game in alpha and had a strong pvp presence during early beta so your point is mute

Dude you’re so wrong. Core systems are designed around PvP like territory control. This game was supposed to be PvP at the start but they pivoted to PvE. Stop making sh*t up

Knightni and Gothshorty are correct. NW was originally a hardcore survival PVP MMO (conceptually). All of the PVE systems were integrated starting around 6 months prior to Beta, and the process has been ongoing ever since. They playerbase specifically demanded more theme-park style PVE content as the game developed over time, and that has been the primary vision of AGS going forward. While I PVP probably 95% of the time in NW, the majority of playerbase prefers PVE, and that has been the primary focus of AGS.

I wish it had remained a PVP game, but here we are.

Lol right right…they didn’t pivot for nothing. Anyone wonder why we have what we have? Why its been a death train since day 1? Because any gamer knows and even the silly bad devs knew PvP won’t work in this style. Noones figured out how yet. To go PvP you gotta lose the RPG look and aspect of say EQ and go full Mortal Online style. They had nothing going for PvP mechanically. They saved the game for a little while rather then the untimely death it would’ve already had without PvE. But the split just left too many voids…and everything’s just…too basic. AGS best bet? To Live? Treat it like a MMORPG and add high end PvE content without gates. But I think we all know we are beyond that saving grace now

I agree that OPR/Arena rewards should be increased, which they kind of are being increased in the upcoming patch due to 590 gear from pvp activities can be upgraded to legendary. You’ll find that increasing the gold reward from opr will only increase the prices of gear/consumables because if gold is easier to get then people will expect higher prices, meaning you end up with the exact same as you do now.

I think pvp gear should be earnt and purchased from the faction vendor for that season e.g. each time you win an Arena/OPR/War then you get x amount of PVP coins which can be used to buy your bis gear from the faction vendor, like many other games do.

As for shards, I think time spent in OPR should be similar to time spent in an expedition in terms of rewards, so let’s say doing an M10 dungeon takes 30 mins for 6k shards, then spending 30 mins in OPR should be about 3k shards because PVP content is easier than PVE content, OPR matches that take less than 30 mins should have reduced amounts of shards and the 3k should only be rewarded to matches that take 30 mins or longer.

Although the game is a PVE game with a few PVP game modes and end game is PVE as proved by the fact that you only need 623-624 GS to reach all breakpoints and stats for PVP and the 625 is purely to do M10 expeditions, I do think that players should be able to progress and play the content that they want to play and not be forced to do content they don’t want to do. E.g. PVE players should be able to progress without needing to do OPR, Arena and war and PVP players should be able to progress without doing PVE Arenas, expeditions or quests etc.

that is the point, the bottom part where you said pve players should be able to enjoy the game however they want, but sadly, pvp players are left in the dust as if you dont wanna do expeditions, it takes weeks to get enough umbrals to upgrade gear tp 625, whilst mutationrunners get enough to upgrade their gear in 1-2 days.
the fact that gypsum is capped in opr and 3v3s just shows how little they actually care about the pvp players.
why force players to play something they will not enjoy?

what is the point of playing half of what game has to offer? just think about PvX players and their power creep when you will buff up all the rewards from whatever activities
i know people might not like pve, but why do you make it look like you are the rejected from the game? you might as well just find pure pvp game, such as lol, csgo or whatever

why not play all the game has to offer. as i said, i hate pve in this game. if i wanna play good pve id play final fantasy or world of warcraft.
this game was a pvp game untill half a year before release.

the impression we got was that the game was suppose to be a pvp game, with some optional pve to pass the time for those who liked it.

what we got was a pve game, with terrible pve. if this game wasnt a pvp game from the start, wars and open world woulnt had been a thing to begin with.

Well the main hype for this game was since it was under NDA everyone was talking about this hard core full loot pure pvp game that AMAZON was making. Then when they had so much interest the share holders come in and wanna change the game for the masses.

At the end of alpha there was no towns or npcs or quests/dialogs. Only outposts and player built towns, and I mean from the ground up to every wall a player built. 6 months to add dungeons, towns, npcs, quests and all that is why the game failed, you had the same exact quest every time repeated, you added factions with no meat to them, towns that are copy pasted and dungeons that were lack luster.

Should have stuck to what they had and made a seperate game later

couldnt have said it better myself. there is a reason why this game is limping, in pve noone cares about balance, all they care about is how quickly they can run that expedition. but in pvp , the balance has been out of this world stupid awful, lots of the weapons this has been concerning is getting nerfed. but its stuff that should have all been done 2 months after brimstone, we are more than 6 months into this damned patch and we are finally getting 1.9 tomorrow.
ags is the only company who could have messed up the damn game this hard.
