Allow Players to put up “Crafting Jobs” on the Town Board.
For example, if a player wants a Greatsword crafted they can go to the Town Project Board with the mats needed to craft it (asmodeum, glittering ebony, golden scarabs, craft mods, etc.)
They would also set the Gear Score range depending on the mats given and it would create a “Crafting Job” on the Town Board.
Another Player that fits the criteria given (200 Weaponsmithing, All Weaponsmithing armor on, Weaponsmithing food buff, Weaponsmithing Trophies, and Weaponsmithing town buff) can pick up the job.
When they pick up the job they are given a “Crafting Ticket”. They then use that crafting ticket at the Forge to craft the Great Sword.
After the craft completed, the “Crafting Job” would autocomplete and give the crafter an amount of coins depending on the Gear Score of the crafted item.
The Player that made the job would be able to pick up the Great Sword at the Town Board.
I think this would be a nice addition for players that don’t craft for themselves and the crafters would get coin out of it.
Going to be a lot of dissatisfied customers, as the crafting in New World is really, really bad. I have 200 in everything full trophies and gear/food and every time someone asks me to craft anything without a known result. I urge them to sell the mats, and buy from the trading post.
Love the idea. Was thinking about absolutely the same. Only one moment.
So right now when you wanted to craft something you have to make social interaction and talk to other players, make a deal, even exchange discords to check how craft going. So you actually playing MMORPG. Social aspect is one of the main feature in this type of games.
Otherwise, if everything automised you kinda playing single player game. So right direction as I see is give players better tool for craftings orders but do not fully automise it.
Even simple (obviously not as simple as it sound, we remember door problem, thanks Scot :D) adding a trusted crafters name on some type of “leaderboard” as part of town board would already help a lot
I completely agree, having that social aspect in MMORPGs is a necessity. I even really like the idea of a trusted crafters tag to give to people. Even though im level 200 in all crafting and gathering others might not be. Sometimes it’s difficult to find someone to craft stuff for you that u can trust not to scam you.
this would be great for everyone in general, even for people who don’t like to upgrade professions. this system was added to wow recently and has been a success
