What kind of idiot would go medium healer if these changes go through? If you’re in heavy now, you have to switch to light. You have to switch all 5 pieces. If you’re medium, you have to switch 4. A heavy is healing 50% of a light user, and a medium is healing 75% of a light user with these proposed changes. You’d be trolling if you didn’t light heal. Everyone who is saying it’s easy to switch is ignoring the cost of BIS.
You don’t need BIS gear to easily do mutations +10. I reacted mainly to person who wanted to quit because he has heavy 625 healer set for mutations.
PvP? Yes, BIS gear is stupidly overprized. But you simply has to count with changes. And you can definitely live without 3 bis perks on your gear.
And you can clear m10 in blue gear, what’s your point? Gear progression is half this game’s endgame.
All im saying is you have to count with balance changes in an MMO, NW included. Nothing else really.
It´s funny how people try to balance things over 1v1 when healers are often being chased by 3 or more players in any OPR or War.
There are like 10 different patch notes that will drastically affect healing gameplay in the game. Its just too much to overall predict the outcome of the balance.
Not only they changed the healing numbers but also changed key abilities behavior, armor usefulness, CCs, Oblivion, stamina regen…
Funny thing is that, leaving oblivion change aside, almost all this changes nerf healers gameplay at the same time.
I just have one question, If healing in PvP, as hard as it is already, gets a lot harder, who is going to play healer anymore?
Are we talking about PvE or PvP?
And ofc its easy to switch, you don’t need to be 625 3 perks BIS to be viable and effective. 99% of population doesn’t have that gear even on their main spec.
But getting the 3 perk BIS pieces took a lot of effort, time and money to get and now, heavy healers are being gutted without any compensation.
Imagine that you spent 1 million and 1k hours in getting your BIS medium bruiser (or mage) gear and suddenly they would decide that that was OP and they would nerf it to the ground.
How would you feel then?
I am playing whatever my company needs at a given moment.
Yesterday I played a few mutations in light armor as a mage, as I feel heavy armor does not enough damage. It was stressfull but also very enjoyable. I had a breeze. Every little error leaves you with a tiny sliver of hp left. Ok, I had no elemental resist gems either ;D
Then our healer left and I was healing. It is a “part time” job so my highest GS armor in which I can heal is heavy (I use conq set+neishatun boots). This was extremely easy. Heal output was more than good enough and I could tank a few adds when they escaped.
Totally overperforming if you ask me.
So sounds good to me to nerf this. I will happily invest in a light armor set.
Healing in PvE has never been a problem in either armor weight.
And they aren’t just gutting survivability which is the problem. They are gutting all healing as well. Additionally hit with the 200 con nerf. Heavy Healing literally getting hit with a triple nerf. Heal yourself for garbage, heal your allies for garbage, garbage survivability, garbage mobility, garbage dps.
Thats on them. Its like saying WH/GA players spent milions of gold for their gear and and they demand compensation for nerfs every time they come.
Nerfs were nowhere near as severe as the proposed nerf to heavy healers. For example, with the nerfs to lights embrace, and nerf to heavy healing combined, a lights embrace for a heavy healer for someone with 6 buffs would be roughly 47% of what it is on live. I don’t think any weapon or class has gutted that hard
Also don’t agree, such a heavy nerf in a armor set that already has almost no benefits and is barely used. How is -30% fair at all? Now medium has zero benefit, heavy has a 30% reduction, might as well delete the armor. light armor seems like the only way and that seems unfair to anyone who enjoys healing with some survivability, making them 100% reliant on 1 secondary weapon, a rapier. This is coming from a GA/WH main and it just seems completely unfair to players who enjoy a different armor style than the light meta.
Also the overall stam nerf also makes no sense and hits healers the hardest, it’s literally apart of their healing kit.

The argument is the same no matter which class gets affected by the nerfs.
Good gear in this game is not a joke how hard it is to get.
From the beggining as game dev you made clear that heavy healers were meant to exist therefore you can not go on and try to force them to move into light armor (cuz they are also making obvious that they don´t like medium healers anymore as well) by gutting them so hard that it becomes stupid build up otherwise.
In addition, this balance its not being rational since healers are not close to unkillable when people work together.
So if the whole argument behind this nerf is: I am a bad player but I want to be able to kill healers 1v1 still, I am sorry, but that is a really shitty argument to base upon.
Noone is going to kill heavy healer 1v1.
The biggest lacking feature among the anti-healer crowd.
I swear to god healers actually think they are the biggest victims for everything ever
Can you explain to me how that hit healers the hardest?
Because healers are heavily reliant on dodging, it’s apart of their kit so they are constantly dodging to increase their healing output. adding this terrible stamina delay heavily puts them at a disadvantage along with the increased casting time of LE. Also I already stated I am not a healer. It’s unfair to target healers, forcing them into 1 viable armor type. Heavy already received a nerf and it’s barely used as it stands. Not only that, with LE new casting time you’re pretty much forcing most healers to zerg heal at this point. If you were limited to only 1 set of armor class you would be unhappy as well, along with all the other nerfs this class is receiving and has already received.
Have you ever played a bow or spear before?
its my fav build to play bow/spear or rapier since latest meta, although i play healer too and healers do have alot more people trying to kill them at same time where all light healers are a shot from death with my bow. Forcing healers into light armor will make opr even more toxic since healers will be dieing left and right and wont wanna play its just taking a class out of the game effectivly
