Making War Efforts more inclusive

Hello, I have been pondering on how to make faction influence pushes less punishing to the players who helped participate in pushing influence to help declare a war. Here are my thoughts and suggestions.

  1. Right now a war declaration only really benefits the single company that declares the war.

  2. Once the war is over. Only one company benefits financially (aside from cheaper tax rates and azoth when traveling)

  3. The war declaration often gets “sniped” ( stolen by whoever declares first, even when some companies do 5x the work to push influence. ) A smaller company can steal all that work if you even lag or simply being afk at the wrong time.

My suggestion is to allow the companies that pushed influence a % of city profits when your faction owns a territory.

if company X pushes 10% influence. They should get 10% profit(or maybe 8%) It does not have to be a 1:1 ratio.

The owning company should always get a majority of profits, but I feel that players overall would be more interested in pushing influence and working harder, if they benefited from the effort, even if they are not the ones who declared the war.

Right now wars do not incorporate nearly 80% of the player base. On a populated server majority players don’t ever see wars. The select large companies have hard rosters and require 3rd party actions such as Discord to be able to participate.

I propose that wars are not 100% controlled by one company. But a combination of all companies who pushed influence. And the results should be split based on participation.

If Company “A” pushes 50% influence. And Company “B” pushes 20% and Company “C” pushes 20" while company “D” pushes “10”. Those companies should all be given a priority in war and benefit from the overall earning of that town, as well as the war roster being broken up among those majority companies. This system is more like an investment, what you put in, is what you get out. Profits split between the “influential” companies. While still benefiting the faction. All companies with a majority should be able to command X number of troops in the war roster. As to split up the war roster among the companies who worked hardest to gain the territory, regardless who declared the war.
